"Yes!" I whispered when I saw my name on the list of the entrance examination passers of St. Paul University.
"Not bad. Sa dinami dami ba naman ng mga nag take ng entrance exam dito sa St. Paul ang taas ng rank mo. I'm so proud of you bunso." Kuya KZ said.
Siya ang Kuya KZ ko, Kaiden Zeus Montreal is the name. We're in the same school actually. Grade 11 ako this school year and he's a year ahead of me. Grade 12 obviously. And luckily, pumasa rin siya.
"Ikaw kuya?" I asked
"Yes bunso!" Kuya answered excitedly
I hugged kuya because of excitement. "Congratulations rin sayo kuya! Ang galing natin."
He hugged me back.
"It would be much better if both of you are in a higher rank." Kuya KP said.
Siya. Siya si Kuya KP, Krave Poseidon Montreal is his name. He's in 3rd year college and currently taking up Bachelor of Science in Psychology. He's a bit perfectionist. Halata naman sa sinabi niya kanina. Well, I can't blame him. He graduated as the valedictorian during elementary and high school years and now, he's running for summa cum laude.
"But still, I'm so proud of both of you." Kuya KP added
I and Kuya KZ smiled as a response.
"Ahm kuya, dumadami na ang mga tao, let's go home?" I asked Kuya KP
"Tara na Kuya KP, you know Kean, he's--" Kuya KZ said when Kuya KP cut him
"Anti-social, I know I know." Kuya KP said
"No kuya!" I objected
"Selectively-social lang daw kuya." Kuya KZ added
"Kuya KZ's right kuya KP, so let's go home."
"Fine, fine." Kuya said to end our argument
"Hello, mom?" I spoke as I answered mom's call
"I cooked your favorite Sinigang!" Mom responded in excitement
"Aren't you at work today?" I asked
"I was about to go, but then your Kuya KP called at sinabi niyang pumasa raw kayo sa entrance exam ng kuya KZ mo. Congratulations baby! Proud na proud ako sa inyo ng Kuya mo. If your dad knows about this, he'll be very proud. Let's celebrate when you're already home.
"What?! Sinabi sayo ni Kuya? I am supposed to surprise you mom."
"Why did you tell it to mom?" I asked kuya at nilayo muna yung phone.
"Wala ka naman kasing sinabing esu-surprise mo sila mommy eh." He replied
Okay, fine. Kasalanan ko rin naman. Di ko sila sinabihan. Siguro sa sobrang excitement na rin kaya di ko na nasabi sa kanila. Ugh! nevermind.
"Okay, fine." I said in defeat
"You're planning to surprise mom? Baka ikaw pa ma surprise mamaya eh."
"What?" I asked Kuya KP
"Ah wala bunso, sabi ni kuya masu-surprise ka kasi sinigang ulam mamaya. Diba that's your favorite?"
"Okay mom, bye!" I said as I ended the call
Surprise na favorite ko yung ulam eh sinabi na sa akin ni mommy kanina. Surprsie pa ba yun? Whatever.
"I'll just take a nap kuya KZ, wake me up if nasa bahay na tayo ha." I said
"Sure." Kuya KZ responded
