"I missed you, Barr."

Start from the beginning

He shook his head at my absurdity, "You're so weird." He mumbled under his breath, hoping for me to not hear it. But as I was standing way too close to him, I clearly heard whatever he said.

"I heard it, Bureau." I told him, looking away from him to gaze at my centre of attention, again.

"Good because it was meant to be." He retorted before walking away. Frowning my eyebrows at his bipolar behavior, I looked back only to see him sitting on the edge of his bed.

"Who peed in your cereals, today?" I asked, walking away from his swoon-worthy bathroom and towards him before sitting by his side on his king sized bed.

He said something incoherent under his breath.

"What?" I cupped a hand around my earlobe, scooting a little closer to him, "I didn't get it."

Bureau shook his head, not telling me the reason behind the sudden change in his behaviour.

Pulling away my hand from the side of my head, I rolled my eyes at his melo-dramatic act. And, as expected, an awkward silence settled between the two of us as we continued to sit next to each other without saying anything.

It was the kind of moment which was my least favourite out of all. Feeling weird out, I cleared my throat.

Did I told you how much I suck at keeping mum?

If not then don't expect me to.

Bureau continued looking straight ahead whereas I shifted and fidgeted around nervously. To ease out the abrupt shift in the atmosphere, I decided to just gaze at the boy sitting next to me in wonder.

It was, currently, night time. The fading red and yellow lights from the setting sun casted a bright glow across his facial features causing it to stand out from his room's surrounding.

My eyes, involuntarily, roamed across his face. His plump lips jutted out a little as he sat there, angered at my doings while his nose's shadow could be seen over his right cheek hiding it from my hawk like eyes.

His long, curly eyelashes also casting darkness over the upper part of his cheeks and nose. A two or three flicks of his chocolaty brown hair lying atop his forehead in a messy way. I resisted the sudden growing urge to touch his hair with all my might.

If someone decided to describe him in a few words then I bet, they would say, hot and cute.

All in all, he was a killer package of looks, brain and body.

Kind of like, beauty and the brains.

I was brought back to the reality when Bureau, abruptly, stood up from the bed. A wide grin slowly spreading across his previously gloomy face causing it to lit up like a bright bulb in an instant.

"Iris." He blurted out in utter disbelief, the grin still intact on his face.

I followed his line of vision before my orbs settled themselves on a beautiful girl standing in his bedroom's doorway. It was the same girl who was standing beside West Boss in the group picture hanging in his office.

"Barry." She breathed out as she acknowledged him before, hastily, walking towards him.

Bureau met her in the middle, wrapping his arms around her curvy form. I smiled at the duo, feeling the dire need to leave the room, immediately.

It kind of looked like their private moment even though they were only hugging each other, probably, after a very long time.

"I missed you, Barr." Iris crocked out, her voice slightly broken before closing her eyes shut. Her chin was resting upon Bureau's firm shoulder, her silky, raven black hair cascading down around her face, hiding it a little bit from me.

Bureau did nothing except hugging her more tightly than before to himself. They stayed like that for a little longer before, much to my relief, pulling away from each other only to permit Bureau to open his damn mouth,

"How are you? What have you been eating all along? You are looking so thin. Forget it, tell me how was your stay in Switzerland? And When did you came back from there? Why didn't you told me that you were coming back? If you had, I would have came to receive yo-"

Iris silenced his useless rant as she placed her hand over his unstoppable mouth, finally putting an end to his idiotic blabbering. An involuntary sigh of thankfulness escaped past my lips at her recent action.

"Shut up." Iris playfully glared at the boy standing directly before her. He was breathing a little rapidly than normal, his dark brown orbs widened. A giggle almost made its way out of my mouth when he nodded his head like a good dog at Iris' order.

'Almost' being the key word here.

After that, Iris removed her hand allowing Bureau to take a deep breath before a wide smile graced his lips, yet again. I rolled my eyes at his, obviously, wipped state.

I watched, amused, as the duo started talking animatedly with each other before, utimately, going into their own la-la land and leaving me behind them to be all alone.

I didn't followed them as I first decided to instead I went down the wooden stairs, giving them some time to catch up with each other. They needed it and by the way, who was I to intervene in between their 'supposed-friendly' reunion.

Reaching the wooden door, I swung it open before stepping out of his house in the cold chilling air which, I swear, would be the death of me one day.

I should probably, scratch that, I should definitely buy a car for myself.
