no one is willing to love or care for him, his parents constantly argue without any actual reason. They dont come home until 6:00 because they ALWAYS think the other wont be there, using that logic, you would think that one of them would show up at a different time because the other shows up at 6:00.

no logic exept his remains in this household. At this moment in time, they have both left, not even looking at eachother. Dan pokes his head out of his room door, knowing for sure that his parents have left, he walks downstairs and starts getting some cereal. He gets ready for school, puts his earphones in and starts to listen to random songs on his playslist.
walking up to the front gates of his isolated school, heads turn to him, he ignores them all, the heads just give him a sense of anxiety and reminds him that he's trapped in a loop of this for another year. walking to his first class past the reception, Sarah smiles (if you get that reference we are friends.) at Dan as he walks past, he gives her a small smile as he carries on his journey to survive this hell.
he walks into his first period class and counts the steps. '2nd step, heads turn . 6th step, whispers start. 8th step, Dan reaches his seat.' he sits down in his seat in the far back corner, no body else even dares to sit near him. He's the troubed kid, the one with issues, the one whos depressed, the one with no emotions, the one whos adopted, the rumours go on. He looks down at his sketch book, the teachers don't bother to stop him from drawing anymore, he doesn't listen.
He starts sketching random things, just doodling. and then, someone walks in, someone new. he's with one of his old friends PJ. He stopped talking to Dan when he heard the rumours. He stopped caring for anyone after that. he did anything he could to make PJ feel welcome and accepted, and he didn't care.
The new kid, he looked... Perfect.
He had raven black hair that swiped over his eye. His pale skin complementing his hair perfectly. He was the complete opposite of Dan though. He wore bright colours and a smile on his face at all times. Dan wore all black and had a depressed look at all times. He carried on drawing, he knew PJ would tell him at least 4 untrue rumours about him, that would be enough to drive him away. After all, Dan's emotionless, according to the rumours. He doesn't need friends. He doesn't need comfort. He's a disappointment. He carries on doodling, all hope for a new friend and companion gone.
That was until he feels a presence next to him,
"Hi! You must be Dan, I'm Phil!"
He looks up from his sketch book to see the ebony haired individual next to him.' Wait, if he knows my name, that means PJ must've told him something about me' He smiles to himself. "Hi. yeah, I'm Dan." Dan cant help but notice Phils beautiful blue eyes staring at him. He cant help but notice the blue orbs staring back at him. He doesn't believe that someone didn't care about the rumours, and actually wanted to see him, for him.
"sorry for being a bit rude, but why are you talking to me?" Dan asked, he was curious as to why someone had decided to talk to him after 3 years of silence.
"well, you looked lonely (I see the shadows on his face,) and the rumours about you seem horrible. You looked like you needed a friend"
Someone who understood, the rumours aren't true. not everything you hear is correct. He Is happy, no parents yelling, he has someone to talk to. No one can stop them. Unless he's like PJ, Dan shouldn't have to worry, but Dan cant shake the feeling that PJ may have sent Phil so that they can create more rumours about him. But, even if he is, there's gonna be no information to return with, they've used every excuse in the book.
Dan doesn't care. He has someone now, and that's all that matters. He sparks up a conversation with Phil, and they have a lot in common, he's like Dan's other half. He cant help but get a feeling of butterflies whenever Phil's there, he's amazing... just Perfect.
