Chapter 17: Died of Starvation

Megan's Pov

I slowly walk past Nancy and in to the room with Reece holding my hand still and that's when I see her.

Kenzie

Sitting up awake, the tears already flowing, I'm in hysterics once again.

"Megan!"She shouts while beginning to cry

"Kenzie, I'm so sorry! It's all my fault! It should of been me! I can't believe you are finally awake! I've missed you unreal amounts!"

"Megan listen.. we need to talk"

"Kenzie please don't leave me it's no.."

"After everything you've been through and everything I've put you through that could never happen.. Ok ever? It's nothing bad.. It's about that night that I was hit.. But we will talk later, first how about you introduce me" she smiles while whipping her tears away

"Oh Kenzie, meet Reece Hunter my boyfriend"

"Yeah I know who he is, he's the one who used to stare at you in the corridor all the time" she winks
"Nancy told me that you've been to see me all this week for 6 hours each time" she laughs but carries on
"She also told me some things that you told me, even with out her telling me, I could remember a few things.. So how was dinner?"

About an hour later, After talking, Reece and Kenzie getting to know each other more and catching up on a view things, I finally have to tell her about Brad

"Kenz, Brads back at our school"

"Hahahah! I don't give a shit about him" Kenzie laughs

"He put you in a come for about 7 months, how can you not care?"

"I'll explain everything soon my gal"

"But Kenzie!"

"I guess she's always been this inpatient? Reece asks while laughing

"Yep! All the time!" The both laugh together, I'm so glad..my boyfriend and best friend getting along.

About anther hour later I say my good bye to Kenzie as she's getting tired and I tell her I'll see her tomorrow, I go out the room to talk to Nancy, while Reece says his goodbye.

Reece's Pov

After Megan leaves to talk to Kenzie's nurse, I give her a hug

"Bye Kenzie, good talking to you, will come see you soon"

"Yeah you too!" she smiles

I get up and start walking to the door

"Reece?"

"Yeah Kenz?"

"Thank you"

"For what"? I ask

"For saving my best friend" she smiles while turning on her side and quickly falling to sleep.

I saved Megan? More like she saved me.

Megan's Pov

I don't think I could be happier, well besides almost getting killed today, but now I know that I have to tell Reece everything..

We get a taxi to Reece's, now we are walking up his drive with huge smiles on our faces. We find a note on the living room table, saying that Reece's parents and mine are away out for a few drinks.. We quickly head up the stairs. Reece's gives me a pair of shorts and hands me a top that I must of left it here. I get changed while he takes his jacket and tie off , I seriously can't be bothered changing rooms.
