Chapter 16: Ring

Megan's Pov

"I'm sorry princess I'm just speechless you look perfect, not that you don't alway look perfect but.. Wow"

"Thank you so much my boy" I smile widely

"I'm so glad you like the dress"

"I don't like it" I huff

"Wha.."

"I love it" I beam

Not even a second later Reece grabs my hips and pulls me closer to him, smashing his lips on to mine. A few minutes later after a few deep kisses we are finally in the car. My parents and Reece's parents are in a different car

After 10 minutes of driving I finally ask something I've wanted to ask for the past few days.

"Reece, where have you been the past couple of days?"

"Oh it doesn't matter" he says sarcastically while glaring out the window

"Reece.."

"When you tell me what happened today, I'll tell you what I've been doing"

"But Reece.."

"Patience Carter patience"

I pout and look out the window and he slides over and he puts his arm around me, I push him off but that does stop him. He puts his arms around me and pulls me in to his side.

"You talk and I talk" he smirks
But I still don't move away instead I rest my head on his shoulder and sign loudly.

I thought my mum said this was a small dinner, there's literally about 200 people here. Basically it's a massive hall, with lots of tables and a huge dance floor with a DJ, but everyone's seated now. My parents and Reece's parents are at the same table, Zack's staying at Noah's cabin a few towns over and mum didn't make him come, so why did she make me? My parents and Reece's parents haven't seen me in the dress yet, considering Carla helped Reece pick it.
Reece pulls my seat out and pushes it in for me.

"My baby, you look beautiful" my mother smiles

"My girls all grown up" my dad beams

"Such a beautiful young lady" Mark smiles while nudging Reece

"Thank you's" I say while I lean over the table and kiss them on the cheeks

"Megan dear, can I talk to you please?" Carla asks politely

"Yeah sure"

She leads me up some stairs to a balcony with a beautiful view of the sun setting.

"You look perfect in the dress Megan, Reece dragged me to hundreds of stores, After hours or shopping I finally got on the phone to an old friend of mine who's a designer, Reece didn't want anything that was already on the shelfs so we got to see a dress that isn't coming out for another 6 months"

"I honestly love it! It's perfect, thank you so much"

She pulls me in for a hug and kisses my cheek

"You know Megan I haven't seen Reece this happy in a long time, even his behaviour is a lot better, besides when he hit someone last week" she laughs
"I know his past with girls but I know for a fact that you are the first girl that means something to him, actually you mean a whole lot to him, you's are perfect for each other everyone knew it, even when you's were young, but he had to ruin it with you" she reaches out and touches the necklace Reece got for me and then continues
"and believe me if he hurts you again I will kill the boy myself, I mean the girls he has been with in the past and just a bunch of cheerleader slags, excuse my language" she laughs

"Hahaha! I love you Carla" I laugh

"I love you too Megan" she smiles, she pulls me in to another hug and pulls out a small box from her bag

"What's this?" I ask as she carefully passes me the box

"Open it honey"

I slowly open the box and see he most beautiful ring, I have ever seen, it's silver with a small diamond incrusted around the band.

"I can't take this Carla, it must of cost you a tone, just like this dress bu.."

"It's fine honey, Mark got me it when we first got together and now you're with my son, I thought it was time if pass it down to you anyway you're like family now" she smirks as slips the ring on to my finger,

"But we've only been together for 3 months" I smile

"Trust me Megan, I know love and what you have with Reece is definitely it, he's loved you for years my dear" she pulls me in for another hug and we walk hand in hand down the stairs and back to our table.

After the delicious meal and having a long, embarrassing chat with our parents about mine and Reece's relationship. Everyone starts to head up to the dance floor. Reece pulls my up my hands and leads me to the middle of the floor. He wraps his arms around my waist and I wrap mine around his neck.

"This is night has been amazing Reece"

"Every second is amazing with your princess"

"I love you Reece, so much"

"I love you too princess, more than you can imagine"

I pull his head down, so our foreheads are resting on each other's.

"You're everything, you're mine.. forever, never forget it" I whisper

"How could I forget that? Without you I'm done, you're my world.. My girl forever"

We lean in to kiss each other but my mum interrupts.

"Megan it's Nancy, it's about Kenzie"

I widen my eyes and take the phone out my mums hands slowly and hold it to my ear.

"Megan could you please come as soon as you can" Nancy said nervously

"I'm on my way"

Reece obviously heard me telling Nancy that I was coming, he took my hand and pushed through the crowd of people. The ride to the hospital was silent with me gripping to Reece's hand and holding him close.

We run in to the hospital and to the reception desk, holding hands every step of the way.

"Hello, how may I help you?"

Before I get to answer the receptionist, I hear Nancy's voice.

"Come in here Megan"

Please let Kenzie be ok.
