Three years later, Hans was on his way to Ava's office where (Y/N) was. He noticed that ever since (Y/N) was born, Ava was acting differently from the girl that he fell in love with. He thought at first that it was the pressure of being a mother, but he was wrong. Hans watched as Ava changed became into this person that was so absorbed into finding a Cure to save the world. He watched as Ava took her spot as the Chancellor of WICKED.

Hans knew that in those three years, his Ava was gone. But a part of him gave him false hope and kept on saying that the Ava he fell in love with was still there.

"Ava?" Hans went inside her office. He expected to see (Y/N) inside and greet him with a hug but she wasn't there. Ava was the only person there. She was sitting on her chair behind her desk, with her back facing him. "Where's (Y/N)?"

Ava didn't say anything but just turned her chair facing Hans. Her face was blank but her eyes contained sadness.

"(Y/N) isn't here," she told him.

"Where is she?" Hans felt nervous. "What happened to her?"

"She's sleeping."

"Ava stop with the riddles," his voice rose. "Where is (Y/N)? Where is our daughter?"

"She isn't our daughter anymore Hans. She belongs to WICKED."

"What are you talking about?"

"Our former Chancellor gave me a deal. He won't let us and (Y/N) out to rot there and be eaten by the Cranks, if they examine her when she turns into the gentle age of three," she held out her hand and took out three fingers.

"You know that that's not the only thing they'll do Ava. You of all people know what they'll do for the Cure!" He yelled at her. "What they'll risk just to get it!" Hans took in a breath. "How could you do this to our daughter!? How could you let them do this to her! She's just a child!"

"Would you rather she'd rot out there with the both of us with her?!" Ava finally lost all her cool and rose from her seat, banging her hands on her desk. "I did this for the three of us! So that she'll be safe!"

"No," he shook his head. "You only did it for you," he growled at her.

This was the time when he found out that the woman he loved was gone and was replaced with a monster. The former lovers were silent for a moment, both trying to see who'll make the first move.

After a couple of seconds, Ava fixed her hair and looked at Hans with the same blank face. She was truly gone. "Let me guess, you're going to save (Y/N) and leave this place," she sneered. Hans didn't say anything but glared at her. "I know what you're thinking Hans and no you can't, I won't let you."

Ava walked out of her desk and was no leaning her back on it. "I've just recently learned that we're close to a breakthrough with (Y/N), she could be part of something," she stopped a looked as if she was thinking of the right word to say. "Historic," she finished with a huge smile on her face that screams insanity.

Present...

"The next day, I was given a different assignment from Ava and was sent far away from the both of them. She wanted me far away as possible from (Y/N). There was nothing I could do, there was no way I could escape without getting caught and killed." Hans took in a shaky breath and Mary held his hand tightly in reassurance.
