Chapter 16:
Catherine's POV:
I grab my keys and my wallet and walk outside, time for grocery shopping...
Before I slip out the door, I call out to Harry to make sure he knows where I'm going.
Slipping in my car, I start the engine and start driving to the store.
I then park my car and walk into the store and grab a cart.
I go isle to isle and grab the things I need.
Walking to the drink isle, I grab a big pack of bottled Starbucks coffee.
I get startled by a guy's voice, "Woah, you must really like coffee."
I turn around and find a very attractive guy in front of me, "Who doesn't?"
He chuckles, "True."
"So, what's your name?" I ask.
"Conner."
I smile at that name, "My names Catherine."
"Pretty name for a pretty girl."
"Cheesy pick up line, for a cheesy guy." I roll my eyes, and laugh.
This was...nice. I haven't talked to any other person for a while.
He chuckles again, when a girl walks up, "Hi!" She chirps.
"Hi." I smile.
Conner cuts in, "Catherine, this is Eleanor."
I smile, and go to shake her hand when I'm pulled into a hug.
"Sorry! I'm a hugger."
I nod, "Well, I better get going."
They both nod, "Phone?"
I hand her my phone and she types in her number.
We then do a little rotation and say our goodbyes.
I go to the check out, and when I'm done I pull out of the grocery store.
I start getting a little hungry on the way home, so I stop at McDonalds.
As I pull into the drive-thru, I check the time and see it's 8:15.
After ordering my food, I drive away and start driving home.
I look down to fiddle with the radio, as I pull on to a long dark road that leads to my home.
When I look up I see a tall dark shadow in front of me, I scream and slam down on my brakes as hard as I can, but it makes my body jolt forward.
I start panting hard and look up to see where the person was.
But there's nothing.
I shake my head, in shock and start driving again.
What was that?
Where did he/she go?
