I waited patiently for Calum to get back from his little talk with Jake. Everything seemed different when I was in this house. It was a new environment. I could feel that it was different for me to be here for all the other people in the house. Was it because Calum maybe never took a girl home before? Or because I was human as Luke had said. What were these people? Not human?

Calum interrupted my thoughts and joined me on the bed. "Calum.." I began to ask a question: what are you? But I decided not to. My paranoid thoughts could be getting the best of me.

"Yes, Annie? Are you okay? How are you feeling?" Calum asked, his finger-tips reaching to my face and grazing lightly over cheek.

"I'm fine, just a little confused..." The way Calum looked at me said, 'go on,' so I continued. "Why did Luke ask if you bought a human here? I understand if it's because you might not bring girls home, but then why didn't he say girl, and not human?"

"Annie, I'm different to other boys. So is Luke.. and Mike and Ash.. Jake and Liz are different, too." I furrowed my eyebrows. "There are many of us in the world. We aren't a threat to humans, we actually save your silly brains. We all have the same powers: strength, speed, sense of smell, invisibility, hearing and the best eyesight in the world. Some others posses different talents. Mine are self-control, where I can control myself around humans to act more human-like. Also another one, we're a bit torn to as what to call it, but I can sense the emotion people are feeling. For now, you're shocked and confused," I blinked.

"What's the...name for your kind?" I whispered. I wasn't scared, Calum told me I had no reason to be, he said that he saved humans. I'm a human.

"Supernatural." Calum said nonchalantly.

I nodded, "Wow... Okay." I felt like I was going to pass out. Could Calum feel that too? I think he could.

When I next woke I was on the couch. I looked and Calum was sitting on the end of the couch, tracing circles with his fingertips on my bare legs. "Hey, how are you feeling?"

I sat up, rubbing my eyes. "You tell me." I teased.

Calum laughed. "You're tired.."

"Something else, too," I said.

"..and curious. What're you curious about?"

"A lot of things, everything about you really." I shrugged, moving my hair behind one ear.

"We have time; what's the first thing you want to know?"

I sighed. So much.. "Are you able to lift this couch?" I asked quietly. Calum laughed at my question. He moved my legs off him, stood up and reached under the couch. I was suddenly in mid-air, the couch under me. I looked down and Calum was grinning at me as he held the couch with one hand. He placed it back down and sat with me. "Show-off.." I mumbled.

"I have really great hearing, y'know." Calum told me, stating that he heard me call him a show-off.

"Awesome." I said sarcastically. Calum asked me what else I wanted to know. "Why did you choose me? Why are you being with me, and not anybody else?"

He took a breath before he answered the question. "Have you read Twilight?" I nodded. "It's kind of like that; where the wolves imprint on somebody, and can care for them, like when Jacob imprinted on Renesmee, it was in a way where he will protect her from everything. When somebody with supernatural powers 'imprints' on a human that's what it means. But the human isn't supposed or allowed to know about us, we just keep them from danger."

"Oh," I whispered. Did that mean me and Calum wouldn't be together?

"There's more," he said, "when somebody like me 'imprints', if you like, on one of our own kind, it's the type where they are in love. Like, love at first sight. With this situation, it's half-half, because you're human. So I'm possibly in love with you.. and I also need to care for you and protect you from anything and everything."

"You're in love with.. me?" Calum only just met me, even though he knew most things about me, but I wasn't a strong believer in 'love at first sight.'

He nodded. "The problem is, you might not be in love with me, so that's the part where we have to go on dates and be a couple so you love me."

This time I nodded. "Okay." It wouldn't be hard to truly love Calum, he was a sweet guy, and he was capital 'a' Attractive. The fact that he was a superhero in many words, added to the hot factor.

"More questions?"

"Yeah.. why did you say it was safer for me not to know about you?"

"Our kind has cops like humans do. They are called the Monguri. The main reason of supernaturalist's existence is to make the world a better place for humans, but we have to do that without them knowing. When someone finds out about their supernatural.. power, they are sent to the Monguri, who have this cool guy, who looks at someone and then sees everything they do. He has all the faces of everyone in my kind saved up in his brain. Humans aren't allowed to know about us, and when they do, the Monguri come and destroy the human, so our kind is never exposed."

I was scared now. I was a human and I knew Calum's secret. Would these Monguri people come and kill me? "Do I hide when they come? What will happen to me? Why would you tell me this! Are you out of your mind! Do you just want me dead?"

"Annie, calm down, everything will be okay. For now, at least. They wont realise until the end of the year, if Jake is right." Calum pulled me into a hug. "I think it's time I get you home."

"Will you be at school tomorrow?" I asked, my voice sounding hopeful.

"Of course," he kissed my cheek.
