Due to the nature of Mind of a Christian, I will be mentioning and referring to verses in the Bible a lot. If I wasn't doing that, then something's definitely wrong!

I will be using the Tree of Life version (TLV) and the New American Standard Bible (NASB) for scriptural quotes. I might remember to cite which version I'm using, I might forget. I might choose a different version for some reason. But, I'm pretty confident in saying that at least 90% of the biblical verses I'll mention in Mind of a Christian will be from TLV or NASB.

**** EDIT ****

It looks like I'll be shifting more towards NIV, since that's the version my student bible is in. I don't find anything heretic in the NIV translation, so I guess I'll stick with it! I guess my point is that I'll probably be shifting my translation preferences throughout the years, but it should have no impact in the message that I receive or want to share.

There are some discrepancies in verse numbering between bible translations, so if mine doesn't quite line up with yours, a quick Google search will lead you to the right verse. Almost all the time, you won't have to look far.

The TLV will have a lot of Jewish phrases, because they more accurately convey what the (majority) Hebrew writers were intending when writing scripture. I might add more in the future, but here are a few that you'll come across frequently:

ADONAI = LORD

Elohim = God

Yeshua = Joshua --> Jesus, meaning "God saves"
Yeshua is the Hebrew name of Jesus! That's what the people in His time knew Him as. In almost all cases, when you see Yeshua, the Bible is referring to Jesus.

Ruach = Spirit

Bnei Yisrael = Sons of Israel, Children of Israel

Thank you and have a nice day!
