The Path We Take

Chapter 5~~~

"Why are we here?" I lowered my head causing it to hit his chest "Tate can you take me home?" I felt like I was on the verge of tears and the only place I wanted to be was in Tate's house I always dreamed of having that warm feeling but it never once came I tried my best to keep Justin safe but I only hurt him "Of course lets go." He wrapped his arm around me and we started to walk without my knowing my family disappeared but also without my knowing Justin and I formed a new one with 6 other people some of them are a bit wacky or quaky but when I'm around them I feel like I actually belong "T-Tate can we keep this night between you and I?" I started tearing up even though I feel like this I don't know if Justin does so I still want to do everything I can to protect him "Yeah of course but are you crying?" I quickly looked away and rubbed at my face "N-No that slap just m-made my eyes water." Tears started to fall and I quickly wrapped him into a hug I need to feel the safety hugs from him and Jimin always give me right now I want to forget about what happened I just want to be filled with contentment for once in my life "Hey if you keep crying you'll miss out on seeing the pretty snow." He rubbed my hair and I looked up towards him "Getting slapped really hurt! I'm not crying!" He whipped at my tears and he pouted and nodded "Lets go and put some ice on it then." He wrapped me into a hug again and we walked back home "Tate, when we get back can you show me your elephant again?" He looked towards me and gave his famous rectangle smile "Of course! Lets hurry home I'm getting cold~ Unlike you I'm not into winter very much~"

"I'm so not ready for this presentation, I hate speaking in front of people." I mumbled as we read through our scripts once more it was perfect but I don't think I can speak in front of this many people "We just need to get it done and we're home free you're talking about 5 minutes up there you can do it K!" Jimin bawled up his fist and I laughed a bit and we bumped fist "Plus you know the presentation in and out you worked hard everyday we'll defiantly get a good grade." I looked towards Tate and I remember what his parents said last Saturday "Tate, what rank are you in our grade?" He looked towards me with his blank expression "2nd right after you, you didn't know that?" I shook my head and closed the script "I don't usually check my grades, those crowds are a pain." We were called up and I started shaking until Tate leaned over suddenly getting really close to me to unlock his computer "Just look at our desk and picture you're just talking to Jimin and I okay?" I smiled and confidently nodded as I took a deep breath "Okay Fighting"

Once the class was over I jumped on the back of Jimin and we ran down the hall "Finally!! Its over!!" Jimin yelled out and we started laughing until the disciplinary teacher stopped us "What are you two doing? Do you think just because you have a week left before winter break you're allowed to goof off? Don't forget we start exams Monday." I quickly jumped down and fixed my uniform "S-Sorry sir, w-we were just excited that we did good o-" He shoved his finger on my forehead causing my head to fall back a bit "Zip it I wasn't asking for an answer, I expect more from our number one student I'd hate to do this but I can't let it slide. Both of you detention after school." My face didn't changed but Jimin scoffed "Sorry can't if you look in my files I can't have detention you'll have to give me another punishment old man." I looked towards Jimin like he was crazy what happened to the Mochi boy just a second ago? "Fine Park come with me, Jeon get out of here."

I bowed and quickly walked away while they went somewhere else to talk. I saw Jin, Trevor, Sage, and Heath so I waked over towards them "Hey guys how was your day?" They smiled towards me "K/ Squirt/ Koda!" They all cheered and I got a bit embarrassed "You actually want to hear about our day?" Jin stepped towards me and I being confused nodded my head and suddenly Sage checked my forehead "She doesn't have a fever so the only answer must be... Koda are you actually warming up to us?" I turned a bit red and I covered my face with my books "You guys are making it awkward why couldn't you have just answered my question?" Heath wrapped his arm around me and shook me a bit "Awe don't sweat it we're just goofing around, our day wasn't to fun we had exams." I nodded and we walked up to the 3rd floor when we heard yelling "Kim Tate! Detention after school!" We all looked at each other confused when suddenly a teacher walked out with paint on his jacket and Tate walked out after him "Yes sir." He turned towards us and smiled "Guys wanna come to detention with me?"
