The Path We Take

Chapter 3~~

I woke up feeling like complete and utter crap rolling to my side I hugged my lion and groaned "I hate rain.." I sneezed and a sudden chill passed through me and I sighed getting out of my warm cocoon I got ready for the day when i was in my uniform I looked into the mirror my skin was pale and I felt as if my body was about to collapse, heading down stairs I saw Justin and Tate eating. Flash backs of last night ran through my head and my stomach twisted and I sighed all I could think was I'm an idiot for letting my guard down. "Bye." I waved them off as I stumbled a bit and quickly hurried out of there and went to school I was glad it wasn't raining finally. Once I got there I opened up my shoe locker to have tacks and a note fall out of it.

'Stay away from our Kings! Just go die already no one cares about you! You just ruin things CK witch!"

I crumpled the paper up and dropped it switching my shoes out I winced when something stabbed me taking my shoe off I clenched my jaw and I took the needle out that was placed just right to draw blood. I was about to punch the lockers but I took a deep breath and started walking to my classroom I sat down and immediately laid my head down "I want to leave already.." I soon closed my eyes and drifted off to sleep "Pst~ Hey bunny girl wake up~" I heard a familiar voice and I reached out and grabbed the persons hand which was poking my cheek and fell back asleep only to be disturbed again slowly opening my eyes I saw Tate and Jimin and they looked worried "You okay there?" I coughed a bit as my head was pounding like crazy and I sat up looking down I noticed I had ahold of Jimin's finger to lazy to let go I just looked up towards them "Spacey you're looking awfully pale did you get sick from the rain yesterday?" Tate reached his hand out to my forehead but my world went black and the last thing I remember was hitting my head hard on the desk, I'm gonna have a major headache when I wake up

"I didn't know what was wrong with her so the teacher just told me to take her to the nurse but I don't trust that dude at all so I just brought her back home, she wouldn't let go of Jimin so he had to carry her back here but thankfully she let go once she was laying down and he left just a few minutes ago for dance practice. I took her fever and it was 101 I'm gonna wait a few more hours to see if it won't go down and if it doesn't then I'll take her to the hospital." I slowly opened my eyes and looked over to see Tate sitting next to my bed looking down I noticed I was holding his hand but I had no energy to move it, the feeling of holding someone's hand reminded me of my grandfather "Alright Justin you can trust me, no she's been passed out this entire time what have you been feeding her she's lighter then a feather." I closed my eyes again his voice is really calming "You just stay in school don't worry about us, and I won't get sick I haven't gotten sick since I was in elementary school. Alright Justin bye." He hung up the phone and I opened my eyes again and looked towards him he wasn't in his uniform anymore.

"Is my brother really that worried about me?" He looked towards me and smiled "Yeah he's called me every single hour to check on you." He placed his hand on my forehead and his smile turned to a frown "Seems like the fever patch isn't working.. How do you feel Spacey?" I curled into a bawl causing me to pull his hand closer and I took shaky breaths "I want a stronger immune system." He laughed a bit and patted my head "I know, I know, but before you fall back asleep why don't we head down and eat something then take some medicine?" I puffed my cheeks out feeling a bit loopy but nodded and sat up but I suddenly got dizzy from abruptly moving and he quickly supported me, getting out of the bed I rubbed my eyes as a thought ran through that I was dying to ask "Tate why are you so nice? Why are all of you so nice?" We walked out of the room and I noticed his grip around my hand tightened once we got to the stairs, I'm actually a bit worried I'm known to be clumsy when I get sick "Do I seem nice? Hm I guess its because I'm awesome." I sneezed and rubbed my nose while I looked at his back "Do you get lonely since your parents aren't here? This house is big." He looked back towards me "Well now I have you and Justin so I'm not that lonely anymore." I hummed and he sat me down and I laid on the table "Here put this on." He handed me a sweatshirt and once I put it on I softly smiled and looked towards him "Tate are we the same?" He started cooking "What do you mean spacey?" I closed my eyes as I started to drift to sleep "I mean are you alone like I am? Why did you hug me last night? You could have just left me." I kept on falling in and out of sleep "Get some rest don't think about anything right now." I felt a hand on my head and I smiled again "I'll wake you up once its time to eat and with that I finally fell back asleep.

"Spacey~ Wakey, wakey spacey." I opened my eyes to see porridge in front of me and a few pills "Eat up chef Tate made it." He sat across from me and I was about to eat it when the doors busted opened "Don't eat poison Koda!" I looked over to see Jin and Jimin who seemed out of breath and they quickly ran over and Jin grabbed the bowl while Jimin carefully grabbed the spoon that was in my hand "Never trust Tate's cooking its bad." He pointed his finger towards me and I grabbed it and looked towards him "Ji-" I leaned forward and he quickly grabbed my head and set it gently on the table "Jin will whip you up something good so for now just get some rest again we just saved you from getting even more sick." I heard Tate scoff and I looked towards him "I-It wouldn't have been that bad.." Jin started to sarcastically laugh "Just let me handle all the cooking while you sing okay Tate?" I lifted my head up and looked towards Tate "You sing?" He nodded and I laid back down on the cold table I wanted to ask him to sing but my head hurt to much "Koda!" I looked over to see Justin and I looked at the clock to see it was already after school I guess that's why Jimin and Jin are here "Why did you go to school if you felt so bad?" He checked my fever and sighed he looked really concerned but most of all sweaty did he run all the way here?

"Justin don't worry she's about to eat and take some medicine so everything will work out just fine." Justin looked towards Jin and I laid into Justin and he hugged my head "Yeah but last time she got sick she ended up in the hospital I'm just worried that it will happen again." I got a bit cocky and tried to stand up but I only stumbled and fell down "Justin!" I heard Tate and Jimin yell and soon the three boys were next to me on the floor and I grabbed my head "It hurts.." Jimin chuckled a bit and Tate patted my head "I was wondering when your headache would come you hit your desk pretty hard." I looked towards Tate as I semi remember the pain and they helped me sit at the table again and Jin soon came with porridge "Eat up K Bear! This will make you better in no time!" I bowed towards Jin and started eating I felt really light headed but the food was super good some of the best I've ever had.

Once I was done eating and I took the medicine they all looked at me concerned and Jimin felt my forehead "She still feels hot, Justin why don't you eat something and Tate can take her to bed and put another fever path on her" Tate picked me up and I leaned into his chest "You two need to eat as well you guys can stay over tonight since its gotten late." I felt his voice through his chest and he brought me upstairs and into the room I'm staying in, setting me down he brushed my hair back "Oh you have a scar?" I nodded and turned to face him "It was from Justin when we were younger, he has one on his cheek." He placed a fever pad on and kept brushing through my hair "Spacey are you still mad at me?" I hummed still loopy from my sickness I really had no boundaries "No, I just can't let people close since I've hurt others.." He brushed my cheek a bit "Just live a little Spacey you're a good person don't let the past haunt you." He suddenly got up and walked out the door I was about to fall asleep when I saw him again "Look! Mr. Lion will be here with yours now you'll be double protected! Get better Koda!" He placed the lion next to me and ruffled up my hair and I smiled as I brought both of them into a hug "Thank you Ta.." I fell asleep before I could say his full name I hope he doesn't think I'm disrespectful.

"Ah I hate getting sick~ Just thinking about this makes me want to take a bunch of vitamins!!"

"She won't admit it but she started to get comfortable when she got sick and I gave her my lion! Plus Jimin and I are just loveable!"

"Do I remember when Tate and the others took care of me when I got sick? No not really but I remember the porridge Jin made and Tate giving me his stuffed lion he was sweet from the beginning. I shouldnt have been so stand offish."

"How'd I win the lion? Oh before my parents got really busy we'd always go to festivals and what not, my father won it for me and that is the only thing he's ever won for me I was so happy and now its my prized possession."
