I wake up on the mattress on the balcony of my apartment, the cool breeze coming over my face. I look at Vera; her long black hair sprawls on my arm, her makeup smearing all over my shirt. She is beautiful. With or without makeup.
My cell vibrates, interrupting the trancelike state she has me in. Making sure not to wake her, I move to grab it. 10 missed calls, 6 new messages.
I open the new messages to see they're all from Cam.
Where is she?
Where is Vera?
Colin, where is she?
Is she with you?
Just wanna make sure she's safe.
You don't deserve her.
I reply to him right away.
Shes with me, shes safe. Don't text me again.
He replies just as quick.
Alrite Kaep. Fill her head, but I bet she wouldn't be runnin back to u as fast if she saw that vid huh
Grinding my teeth I text back.
Don't ever talk about that shit. I thought we agreed
Cam has a way of getting under my skin.
I know, jus sayin.
After reading his reply I put my phone face down on the mattress. The last thing I need is for my past to catch up with me. Fuck.
