Dear diary-
Today on the radio the radio announcer said that there was a possibility for a tornado. This made mom really scared. She kept on the radio the entire day.
If anything the reporter warned there would probably be a water spout at the lake. This made mom even more scared because we live ON the lake.
Turns out there WAS a water spout. It was a tiny water spout since the lake wasn't very large. It just took off a small piece of the roof. The weatherman made it seem like it was going to be an F5 tornado. While it should have been able to take trees down, it just was almost like a small, bitty wind that took down only small branches, and did minor damage. It was laughable.
The weatherman DID mention our waterspout in the news, but he reported more damage then there was.
Downtown he said that the school was destroyed in an actual F5 tornado. I guess i won't be returning there in the fall again. Bummer.
Mom said that we should develop a safety plan for when this stuff happened. She said while staying in the kitchen was safe for us this time, it would probably not be good for something larger in the future. Dad offered to help.
