RUN.

I ran from the sight with the noise of people cheering, talking, and heartbreak. I continued running until I ended up at my room with 2 big diamond shaped winged parts and 2 smaller ones in black with my sword in the middle at the middle of my door. I ran inside and closed the door behind me, locking it as tight as I could. I felt my heart pounding against my chest, causing me to take sharp breaths due to it beating too fast. I held my hand to my chest and tried calming down.

I felt captivated in this costume, "F-Fuck...it's so t-tight...I can't..."

I took it off and changed into a short black dress. It wasn't enough. I ran outside into the cold air and tried breathing, it worked. I started running along the beach, not noticing Checkers playing with a butterfly and then following me along, I didn't have a clue anymore, I just needed this. I slowed down and fell onto the sandy shore, holding my knees to my chest.

I started crying softly and ever so gently, "G-Genji...why...?"

~Mercy's POV~ 

After we pulled away, I noticed (h/c) fade out of the lobby, "Sh-Shoot...." 

Before this, Genji put his head on mine as if kissing me so I gladly accepted. I know it was wrong and twisted of me to do this but...I've felt a certain way about him longer than (Y/n) has, not to be rude, and almost came close to getting him with me. Besides, who wouldn't want to kiss a green cyborg ninja?

"A-Angela I am so sorry...I don't know what happened!" Genji apologized, bowing his head as he backed up a bit.

"It's alright. I forgive you but...you should go apologize to the person that actually needs it." I say as I look up at him.

"...(Y-Y/n)......she saw......" Genji mumbled as he slightly went into panic mode, "Kuso...no."

He ran out of the room, leaving me dumbfounded in the corner.

~Genji's POV~

I was running towards (Y/n)'s room with thoughts clouding my mind. Would she understand? Does she hate me? Why did I do that? What's going to happen? Once I made it to her room, I tried opening the door. It wouldn't budge. I kept trying repeatedly.

"Chikusho chikusho CHIKUSHO!" I couldn't help but repeat dammit over and over as I kept trying. I backed up and slammed my body against the door, hoping it would break down. 

It didn't break down but it opened with a slam against the wall. I ran inside and looked around, calling out her name.

I ran to the balcony and yelled, "(Y/N)!!"

Nothing responded but a low cry noise. I jumped off the balcony and ran towards it. I saw her figure on the floor with her shoulders sparking up often as she cried out.

"(Y/n)!" I cried out as I got onto my knees to cradle her in my arms. Instead, she slapped my hands back and sat away from me with her eyes puffy and slightly red from releasing water out into the world when it shouldn't have.

"Don't t-touch me asshole!" she yelled as she held her legs closer to herself.

"K-Koneko...." That was all I could say after she called me asshhole. It hurt and I saw it in her eyes that it hurt her just saying that.

~(Y/n)'s POV~

I felt myself shiver when I said those words, oh my god it hurt but I had to stick up for myself.

"You played me!"

"I did not I swear to you!" Genji said as he got closer, "Please, just let me-"

"NO! I don't want to hear it Genji! I saw what happened!" I cried out with more tears slowly leaking from my eyes and onto the beach floor.

"....(Y/n)...."

I could sense him understanding the pain I was in. I didn't feel bad, not once for this new founded fuckboy. However, I felt something warm, wash over my body.

"G-Genji, get o-off!" I said, trying to push him off, but he didn't budge. 

I cried more like a helpless kid lost in a store, looking for her mommy. He hugged me tighter and I couldn't help but hug back. His warmth soothed me, making me give into to his action no matter how much a side of me said no.

Genji felt tense for a second, shocked at this sudden action of mine but started calming down and stroking my hair.

"I did not mean to kiss Angela...Something came over me, as if I wasn't there for that period of time." Genji said, breaking the silence.

".....I-I forgive you...." I responded as my heart beat faster.

"....I have not said this to anyone in my life of living...but....will you stay by my side forever?"

"I-I....." I didn't know what to say other than, "...yes...I will Genji."

We pulled back. I felt Genji push a few strands of my hair behind my ear so I closed my eyes for that moment. He put his hand on my cheek and rubbed it with his thumb, I leaned into his hand, holding it with my other. I felt wind start to roll over along with petals from some of the cherry blossom tree and some times, a whole flower.

I noticed Genji swiftly stretch out his hand and grab a flower. He looked at me and put it in my hair.

"Aw...thanks Genji!" I said before hugging him. 

"Heh, mondianai..." he said before helping me up.

I understood what that word meant since he said it before and told me what it meant.

"Now, let us go back to the party. And put on the costume again so I could stand right behind Mccree, ready to hit him."

I giggled, "Sure. Just don't be like him."

I heard him mumble something and then look back up at me, "Won't be a problem."

We got up and headed back, I wiped a few tears on the way, thinking about what the future may hold due to this event. Maybe life will find a way to forgive and forget. Unlike my past. Once we finished getting ready, we headed towards the lobby. Mercy came up to me and apologized. I forgave and forgotten like the saying went, and headed towards the dance floor.

"Bet I could beat you in a dance battle Genji!" I said as I faced him.

"Oh really? Anata no..." he responded in Japanese.

"What does that mean? You agree with me?" I said smugly.

"You're on."
