The sun began to rise over Mystic Falls, the mistakes of yesterday seemingly forgotten in dreams. A heartbroken Damon Salvatore slept beside Caroline Forbes. Madelyn, Elena and Bonnie were all walking into school together. "Listen, I'm not saying don't date the guy, I'm just saying take it slow." Bonnie said, and in that moment Maddie knew that she felt the death touch a vampire gives a witch.
"You are the one who told her to go for it." Elena said, still slightly salty.
"Now, I'm saying take it slow." Bonnie said, giving Elena a look to try and get her to agree.
"Look, Bon. He's a good guy, a great conservationist and a great kisser. I am going with the flow, taking it slow is out of the question." She tells Bonnie, who still worried for her friend.
"Morning Madelyn, Bonnie, Elena." Stefan said with a smile.
"Hey, um, i gotta find Caroline. She's not answering her phone, so see you guys." Bonnie said, not wanting to be near Stefan.
"Bonnie, wait." Maddie tried but knew it was no use, Bonnie was not going to be near Stefan for a while at least.
"She doesn't like me very much." Stefan said.
"She doesn't know you. She's my best friend.She's just looking out for me, but when she does, she will love you." Elena said. Again, suddenly not over Stefan.
"She'll get over it." Maddie said, kissing Stefan, making Elena storm off. Why does she have to make it about her? "Are you free tonight? Because i was thinking dinner, you, me, maddie and Bonnie. You two will need to spend some quality time she'll see what a great guy you are. Mission accomplished. " Elena suggested.
"Um... Stefan you cool with that?" Madelyn asked awkwardly. Stefan smiled and nodded. Then suddenly a ball flew at Stefan, he quickly turned around and caught it. He then threw it back to Tyler, and made him fall back- hard.
"That throw was insane, i didn't know you played football." Elena exclaimed.
"You know what? I am going to go, Elena is more annoying then Draco bloody Malfoy. See you later." She said, walking away angrily.
"World war II ended in? Anyone got anything? Ms. Juan?" Tanner asked, but Maddie was quiet. Her heart ached as she once again got lost in her own self corrupted mind. Maddie's eyes welled up with tears.
"1945." Madelyn heard Elena talk about the football team- trying to convince Stefan. But Madelyn couldn't think. She quickly gathered her stuff, making everyone turn to her, "And where do you think you are going Miss Potter?" He asked. Not caring for her tears.
"None of your bloody business." She said before leaving. As soon as she was outside of the classroom she apperated away.
Mystic- Grille. Flash a smile and get free booze- even if you're underage. "I think you're a little young to be drinking." She heard Damon say behind her- she could hear the smirk in his voice.
"Aren't you a little too evil to care." She spat at him, sadness and anger laced in her voice. Damon took the seat next to her- and although it may not seem that way he cared about her. A lot.
"What's wrong Madelyn?" He asked her softly.
"I can't do it anymore Damon, I can't go round pretending that i am okay with everyone that has died. I don't know what to do." She cried, looking into his eyes. And suddenly, he kissed her. Passionately, a kiss that had everyone gawking. She pushed him away and quickly left- it was in that very moment she realized she was in love with both Salvatore brothers and she hated herself for it. She was no better then Katherine.
