I sit at the table of the bar drinking like there's no tomorrow, I'm fresh out of college and dumped my cheating ass of a boyfriend which leaves me here alone and drunk at this bar. When people look at me they think about how lucky I am at how I've gotten a job straight out of college, how high I scored on my end exams but when you look into the real part of my life then that's when you'll see how fucked up my life is.... my mom ran out on my dad, sister and I which caused my dad to be diagnosed with depression and on top of that Prim and I both had to get jobs to help around while my dad stayed in the same chair, he has a carer who looks after him but he hasn't gotten better since mom ran out on us, fuck her, she can go fuck herself.
As I take my sixth shot someone sits in the seat next to me and orders themselves a shot, I decide to look next to me at the person and see pretty much the most sexy person that I've ever seen, blonde sandy hair, ocean blue eyes and a pretty good shape, his white button up looks like it'll rip anytime now and his jeans almost look like they're stuck to him, I can tell that from the clothes he wears that he's definitely got money....
"Hey there beautiful" he smiles, I scoff
"Don't flatter yourself pretty boy. You won't get far with that comment" I reply taking my now seventh shot
"I've been counting the amount of shots that you've taken, quite impressive at how much yet you're not that drunk" he chuckles
"What are you talking about? I'm fucking wasted. I just don't show it when I'm by myself, it attracts the wrong people" I smirk
"You know I can take you back to my place? As many shots as you can" he replies with a smirk too
"No thanks, I'm fine with the bartender serving me drinks" I say turning him down
"Oh come on, a favour for us both. I give you free drinks and in return at least blowing me off" he suggests, oh what the hell I mean why not? He's not bad looking right?
"Fine. As many drinks as I want?" I ask and he nods, I follow him outside with excitement as he hails a cab for us both and we start making out in the back seat, my god he's a good kisser, I wonder how good he is in bed? Well I intend to find out later on tonight. We soon get to the rich side of town where the expensive apartments are, I knew it.... I follow him inside anyway aside from getting weird looks from everyone, once we get into his apartment room he gets out two shot glasses and a bottle of tequila
"Your free drinks as was said" he smirks as we sit on the couch, I start losing track of the shots that we took before we're fucking on top of his kitchen bench then his couch, the floor and finally in bed, we go almost all night till we see the light shining through the window
"My girlfriend dumped me. She said that I wasn't good in bed anymore" he admits as I continue to rock on top of him
"I don't know what the fuck she's on about" I moan in reply, when we both finish we sit in silence before I decide to get dressed
"Thanks for the shots and for all of last night" I thank while just holding my heels instead of putting them back on
"You don't want to keep in touch?" He asks just as I go to leave his bedroom door
"I don't know" I reply and I get out of there before he could catch up with me or something.

Six Months Later
"So how's that little girl doing today?" My best friend Madge says placing her hand on my swollen stomach, so it turns out the guy I had a one night stand with.... we were too drunk to use a condom so now I'm pregnant with a girl who I decided to name Willow Jane, I'm due in like three months which isn't long and I was convinced enough to keep her which was a hard decision, I looked into adoption but when I found out that she was a girl and when she first kicked.... I couldn't see myself giving her up
"She's been alright, she's a little too eager to come out" I chuckle, she's always moving and kicking around inside me which gives me the message that she wants out and she wants it soon
"Well, Gale and I are going out to lunch and he recently caught up with his childhood friend, Peeta, Gale invited him but we don't want it to be awkward and your the only one who's single and not busy out of our friends" Madge says
"Madge! I don't want to be set up on a date with this guy! I'm pregnant from a one night stand but I don't know about you but usually that puts a lot of guys off with dating me" I reply
"Oh come on! This guy is the nicest guy in the world! Please just come and try it. You'll be having your baby in like what? Two? Three months? Even if there isn't anything there, this is your last time to do something like this before you have Willow" she defends which eventually gets me to agree
"Fine.... I'll come but you have to promise me to not try setting me up to meet a 'friend' because I really hate that. When's this thing happening?" I sigh
"Tomorrow, at 1:30"
"Tomorrow? But I was wanting to sleep in tomorrow" I groan
"Nope, no complaining because you've already agreed to it" she says with a cheeky smile, what have I gotten myself into?
Just as said Madge came over the next day and literally dragged me out of bed, she helped me pick out the unflattering maternity clothes to wear I change with a long sigh, here we go. Madge hugs and kisses Gale when we go into the diner, they finally finish their greeting which is a relief cause I really hate PDA
"Hey Katniss" he smiles
"Hi Gale" I greet
"This is my good friend Peeta Mellark" he says as him and Madge sit in a booth but I almost pass out, it's that guy who was my one night stand....
"Madge can I talk with you" I don't even let her reply before dragging her away
"What's up with you?" She asks
"It's Gales friend! He was that one night stand!" I tell her in a whisper, it takes her a while to register till her eyes grow wide
"Oh my god.... you're sure?" She asks
"A hundred percent. I can't believe it's him" I groan
"Well, Gale hasn't seen him in years. Please just pull through for me" she begs, I sigh before agreeing and I slide in next to Peeta, I can feel his eyes on my but I keep my eyes on the menu. Throughout lunch Gale and Peeta catch up with each other, Gale then excuses himself to use the bathroom and of course Madge makes up the excuse to order another milkshake so it's just Peeta and I now
"So.... you're pregnant. With my baby" he speaks up
"How'd you know it's yours?" I ask
"Well, Gale said you had a one night stand six months ago with a guy that has blonde hair and blue eyes. I put two and two together" he replies
"Okay, she's yours" I sigh
"She? The baby's a girl?" He says with a smile and I nod
"Willow Jane.... we're expecting her in three months" I tell him
"May I?" He asks gesturing to my stomach, I nod then he places his hand on my stomach and Willow kicks against it
"That's amazing.... she sure does feel like a kicker" he chuckles and I give him a small smile
"Is it okay with you if.... maybe you know...." I know what he's trying to say, if he can be there for the birth and I already know the answer
"Yes you can, you're the father after all" I reply and he smiles, that was only the start of our relationship because it was till our little Willow was born when I realised that I should give him a shot and although it was challenging we made it, together.
