I groan sitting up, touching my head and wince in pain, what happened? Last thing I remember was that Peeta and I had a fight because he was hardly home after work and Willow, our three year old daughter would sit at the table watching his empty plate, and I ran out too cool off but then saw darkness, I look at my surroundings, I'm in some sort of basement, I guess, my guess is that I'm not in twelve anymore, I wrap my arms around my stomach where my unborn child lives, I was going to tell Peeta three weeks ago but he started behaving weirdly and he was never home so I just didn't have time to tell him.
I hear feet walking down the stairs and I hide in a dark place and I hear a mans chuckle which sounds a little familiar
"Katniss I know your down here" oh my god, it's Gale, soon arms grab me and throw me across the room
"Ah, there you are" he smirks and I glare at him
"Where are we?" I spit
"My house alllllll the way in district two" he says
"I plan on keeping you here, we'll have children" he dozes off for like a second and I snort
"That can't happen, I'm already pregnant with Peetas baby" and his eyes widen and his expression turns angry
"Once that thing is out of you, I'm going to leave it in the streets" he laughs
"Your insane" I whisper
"I may be but your finally mine!" He laughs and walks out.
A Month Later
I throw up in a bucket, I've been eating the meals Gale provide and my real instinct would be to not eat any of it but being pregnant my baby tells me too eat, my belly is showing, not very much but if I lift my shirt you can see a bump, I'm starting to loose all hope, I don't think Peeta is coming for me, it's been a month and nothing, he's not coming.
I lay on the cold floor my tummy rumbling and I rub it
"Hang in there baby, please don't die" I whisper and hear noises from upstairs and Gale yelling, it's him playing with me, he does it all the time but comes downstairs laughing, this time it's different the door opens and foot steps run down, I sit up and see my husband
"Peeta!" I say he looks to his right and sees me, he runs over to my side and kisses me well we make out really
"Oh my god your safe" he whispers
"What took you so long?" I ask tears sting my eyes
"I was waiting for information from Beetee and the Capitol peacekeeper force and we only just received it last week and so we gathered up and on the first train to two" he explains and I smile and kiss him, taking his hand lifting my shirt and placing it on my stomach he pulls away and looks at me feeling the bump and he lets out a breathily laugh
"Your pregnant" he smiles and kisses my stomach
"I'm sorry what happened, Haymich and I were planning Willows surprise party that was happening a week after but I didn't tell you and I'm sorry" he tears up and I take his face in my hands
"It's not your fault, I just thought that you were sleeping around" I admit and he shakes his head
"I'd never do that, your my only love" he says and I let a single tear roll down and he wipes it away and giving me a peck, he picks me up and starts walking up the stairs
"Stay with me?" I ask and he smiles gripping me tighter
"Always"
