EVELYN SHOOK HER head in disbelief. "You're lying to me. Yo-you do care."
A tear slipped from her eye and Pan's expression didn't change from his taunting look. "Aw, you poor thing." He reached one hand through the bars and grabbed her chin, making her look at him. "But I don't care. And I never did."
He let go and dropped to the ground, walking away. Evelyn started shaking and her hand covered her mouth as more tears streamed down her cheek. She knew it. She cursed herself mentally. She should've known better than to care for him so quickly.
