THE BOYS TALKED while they ate and Evelyn kept silent. Even Pan and Felix talked with the boys. She knew it would take time for the boys to accept her and she didn't want to push her luck. The girl was used to people not talking to her and so she didn't find it necessary to speak.
"So Evelyn, you're from the Enchanted Forest right?" one of the boys asked.
The brunette looked up surprised but nodded. "Yes."
"Are you lost too?" a younger Lost Boy asked. He looked to be about seven with red hair and green eyes.
Evelyn pursed her lip not knowing how to respond. "I suppose," she finally said. "I really didn't belong where I lived."
"But you had friends right?"
She shook her head with a sad look. "No, I didn't have any friends." The Lost Boys stayed quiet and a few of them exchanged looks, looking sympathetic and slightly guilty for even asking such a question.
