Present
PAN WAS ALMOST to her cottage when he stopped suddenly, feeling that tug again. And then he felt his heart sink. He turned and rapidly flew towards the cliff where Evelyn still stood her eyes shut.
He saw her there and he flew to the ground behind her. His breath caught in his throat as nerves clawed at him. Then he took a single step.
"Angel," he whispered.
Evelyn opened her eyes when she heard him, her body tensed.
