PAN NODDED ONCE more."I know you do. But trust me, you'll be happy. Let me take you to Neverland and you'll see."
Evelyn felt tears brim her eyes. "Please stop lying to me. I know I won't. Just let me do this."
He took a step toward her and Evelyn did not move as tears fell from her eyes. The immortal boy took another step and another until he was in front of her. He put his hands on her cheeks and wiped her tears away. Then he pressed a light kiss to her cheek.
Pan heard her breathe out shakily and he pulled away, looking into her blue eyes. "I will show you that you have something to live for," he told her softly. "Just tell me that you trust me."
Evelyn looked into his green eyes and then her lips parted as she said, "I trust you."
