ALEX HAD LED her and Pan to where the boys were gathered. "Ok! Who wants to be the seeker?" Alex asked, acting like he was in charge despite his small size and "young" age.
Evelyn laughed slightly and Pan smiled. "I'll be the seeker," he announced.
She smirked and went to join the other boys. "No cheating," she told him.
Pan did nothing but smirk back. "You all have ten minutes to hide. You'll hear the signal when the time is up." The boys nodded. "Ready... set... go!"
The boys and Evelyn dispersed and the girl followed her gut as she ran. She wanted to hide somewhere Pan wouldn't find her, or at least wouldn't for a while. Just enough for her to win the game. But she knew Pan might cheat. Then it hit her.
