Buffy winced slightly as she watched her boyfriend, slightly glad it wasn't her in this position because... 'Ew'.

"You okay?"

Stefan nodded weakly pulling himself back up shivering slightly as the vervain made its way through his system "Yeah. Ugh."

 "Gross?"

"Pretty much."

Buffy shook her head in amusement before looking at him seriously "So another Original perk for the List. Elijah can compel vampires. Love that for us."

"It's not great." Stefan muttered in agreement. First Elijah had been able to get into a Slayer's head, now he could compel vampires. The Originals clearly had a lot of tricks up their sleeves, and that once again left them at a disadvantage.

What was worse though, was that they had no idea if that was the extent of their abilities. There was just so much about The Originals that wasn't known.

Compelling other vampires could just be the start of their power.

"He's an Original. I don't really know what that means. I don't think anybody really knows what that means."

Buffy grumbled in annoyance before throwing herself onto his bed "Fair to say I'm not a fan, he may not be able to compel me but having him go through my memories was a painful experience."

Moving to sit beside her, Stefan sighed as she moved to lay her head in his lap. Buffy religiously drank vervain every morning and wore it constantly, yet that had done nothing to stop Elijah from getting into her head.

It was a terrifying new reality for them.

"Speaking a painful experience..." He shifted their conversation to try and lighten the mood slightly. They couldn't constantly live their lives with nothing but doom and gloom "How was your Latin final?"

Buffy grumbled at the question and rubbed her hands over her face as she thought back to her exam this morning "Ugh." That was all she would grunt in regard to the hell that had been this morning.

Stefan chuckled and moved to slowly start running his hand through her ever-growing long blonde locks "How many more do you have?"

"The first round is all of my electives so just art next week. Then regular classes after my SATs in a couple of weeks. God, I can't wait to graduate."

Correction, she couldn't wait to get the hell out of Mystic Falls.

The reality hit Stefan very quickly at her words. In three months as long as Buffy got all the grades she needed she would officially be done with High School and he very much doubted she wanted to stay here. It had been hinted at multiple times that she planned to go to Williamsburg but that was when she was planning on getting kicked out of school and getting her GED.

Her graduation changed things.

"Have you thought about what you want to do next? College? Caroline started texting me photos of apartments in New York she told me to convince you to say yes to."

Buffy giggled slightly as she turned to lie on her stomach and looked up at him. She was not the least little bit shocked that Caroline was trying to recruit Stefan into her mission.

The mere mention of New York had gotten Caroline off of her Whitmore plan, that was for sure.

Then again, given Caroline was going to major in Drama, Buffy could imagine she was intent on being within walking distance of Broadway.

"She told you about the Columbia?"

Stefan just smiled proudly "If your teacher sent them your work it means she thinks you are talented."

Buffy sighed in disappointment at the thought of Columbia. As amazing as it sounded, especially their art history program, she knew there was no way in hell she would ever get in.

Plus, there was the Faith of it all.

"Columbia isn't even a thing, it's miles away from a thing. The only reason I have even applied anywhere is that Jenna locked up the fridge until I finished the applications."

It had been a very intense day.

Stefan frowned as he watched her face carefully, there was something else bothering her, he could see it in her eyes "What else is a thing?"

Buffy groaned slightly before reluctantly giving up the thing she had been ignoring since her chat with Giles "When I called Giles about Bonnie's book, he mentioned all the stuff going on with Faith. If it escalates, I might have to go back. Maybe I could go UC Sunnydale, I know Willow is considering it."

That was a least one silver lining, if she was forced to go back to The Hellmouth then at least she would have Willow with her.
