In the morning Jax decided to wander the city and go shopping, his first stop was the blacksmith, he needed to upgrade his weapons. He asked around the city to see where he could get the highest quality of weapons and found out about a shop called The Devil's Chamber.
He walks into the shop and looked around the dark room, seeing no windows, swords on the walls, and hardly any lighting. Jax smiles and walks to the counter and looks at the clerk, they were wearing a cloak, a dark shirt, and dark pants. He couldn't see the clerk's eyes and it made him feel a little uneasy.
He hesitates and then asks, "What's your highest quality sword, sir?"
The clerk takes off her hood and raises an eyebrow, "Excuse me? Sir? I am not a man! Do you do this often street rat?"
Jax freezes then immediately starts apologizing to her, "I am sooo sorry.. I-I didn't mean to upset you I just want a good sword and it's not like I could see you!"
She smiles, "I like you kid, what's your name? Are you from around here..." She starts to ask all sorts of questions as a sword catches Jax's eye and he smiles at the thick, long, black sword.
"My name is Jax, I'm from Barheim, I'm the only survivor. That sword on your wall... What quality is it?" He starts to drool over the sword as she laughs.
"You couldn't have the money even close to what it's worth." Jax looks at her with steely cold look in his eyes and says without any emotion, "I have the money, how much is it?"
She takes a breath and sighs, "It's fifteen million pell."
He laughs at how little the price is and casually pulls out the money and takes the sword, "Is there a second one?"
She stares at him with awe and nods and points to a sword exactly like it but white, "They are called the yin and yang swords, they are the highest quality you can get now. I'm surprised you have the money for it but since you do I have to ask why you need them so badly?"
He looks down and sighs "I'm going to beat the tower and stop this hell."
She bursts out laughing and nearly falls on the floor, "A kid like you?! Beat the tower!! That's the best joke I've ever heard kid!"
He looks at her angrily and storms out with his new weapons grumbling to himself, "She'll see.. I'm gonna be a hero."

He walks around the city for the next few hours looking around and hears a scream from behind him. The voice sounded oddly familiar and he sprints down an alley and pulls out his swords quickly, "GET OFF"
He blindly slashes down and hears a man's whimper in pain, he looks around and sees the clerk from before on the ground sobbing, holding her stomach, and shaking.
Jax looks at the man, "What the hell did you do to her?" The man looks up with an expression begging for an answer, he kicks the man and asks louder, "Did you not hear me?! WHAT THE HELL DID YOU DO TO HER?!"
The man flinches and looks up, "I tried to steal from her"
Jax grabs the man's collar and drags him into an alley and returns without the man about fifteen minutes later, his hands bloody and his eyes hollow.
"Are you okay?" He says softly, "If you want we can go back to the inn and I can fix you up? I'll buy dinner too if you want.." She shakily nods and tries to stand up but falls again.
He quickly wipes his hands off and picks her up, "I got you it's okay"
She looks up at him, "I-I'm Luna"
She passes out in his arms as Jax notices that she's losing blood fast and he starts sprinting to the inn. "Don't worry Luna.. It'll be okay, I promise"

    Luna begins to dream:
I'm laying down, I hear voices above me and they sound panicked. "We have to put her back under" one voice says, another says "We could kill her now" A deeper voice says not to and that I needed to be 'put back under'
I was terrified.
I hear Jax's voice in the back of my head, was he crying?
"Don't worry Luna, I'll patch you up and everything will be okay, I'll buy you dinner anywhere you want just... Don't die.. Please"

Jax looks at Luna with concern after bandaging her, "Just rest.. It'll be okay"
A few hours later she woke up and looked around to see Jax in the mini kitchen cooking something, wearing his normal black clothes under a pastel pink apron tied sloppily in the back. He looked very concentrated with a small knife cutting something green and putting it in the pan with some sort of meat. She smiled at the beautiful smell coming from his cooking.
He looked over and smiled, "You're awake!"
She giggled a little and stands up weakly, "It smells amazing in here, Jax"
"Thank you"

After they finished eating Luna wanted to go home and Jax insisted on walking her, he looked around the ravishing city. He admires the lights in the trees, the faint smell of pastries, and the clean streets. Jax hummed a song under his breath and Luna smiled as she listened to the sweet sound. He stopped when she said they were there and made sure she got in the house safely.
He started to walk towards the inn when he hears the familiar voice of his brother Maverick, "Long time no see little brother." He laughs with his steely cold voice that could make any man fearful.
