The next day I am awoken by my mum shouting my name.

"Lily!!!" She shouts from downstairs, even though it has just passed 6am.

That's something I don't understand about my family. I live with my mum and older brother, both of whom love mornings. I however think that 2pm is a suitable time to wake up, and hours before that should be left to sleep.

I roll out of bed and crawl downstairs. "Yes?" I croak, only opening one eye.

"Remember your lunch today,"

I stare at her.

"Really mum? You had to pull me out of bed and downstairs at 6am to tell me that?"

"You should get up now anyway," she winks at me and pats my head as she walks past me.

Roling my eyes, I make my way back to my room and draw the curtains, only to meet the blinding Sydney sun already blaring through the air. I am really not a morning person.

Quickly, I have a shower, put my hair into a ponytail and put on a skirt, long jacket, vintage tshirt and platform shoes. I then put on some light make up and some cool circular sunglasses.

Approving my appearance, I grab an apple and some juice (I am never hungry in the morning) and head out the door. Luckily, I live quite close to my school so getting there isn't a problem, merely a 20 minute walk.

School is the same old day, until the final bell rings and I am at my locker putting some books into my bag.

"Hey," says a voice form behind me.

I spin around to see Calum awkwardly standing behind me.

"Oh, heya,"

"I was wandering if you wanted to go to that record shop now? If, ya know, you're not busy? Because I really want a new beanie, plus the new Blink album,"

My mouth drops

"You like Blink?!"

He looks at me weird

"Yeah duh they are fucking awesome,"

"I flipping love them! Sure I'll come with you, give me a second."

I finish taking my books from my locker and slam the door shut.

"Lets go," I grin.

Calum nods to behind me "He wants to come as well,"

I turn around to see MIchael, the boy who had said he liked my hair, behind me.

"Ok cool, walk or bus?"

"Bus, I'm not walking it's way too far," Michael states.

"Fine, come on then," I smile, leading the way.

After a few minutes of waiting for the bus it pulls up in front of us. We have lucking missed the school rush as it is nearly empty. I slide into a window seat towards the back, and Calum sits next to me with Michael in front.

"Why don't you swear?" Michael asks, turning around.

"What do you mean?"

"Earliar, you said Blink are fliiping amazing, not fucking,"

I cringe at how loudly he is cursing in public.

"Shh! I don't know, I just never have,"

"Say shit," Calum demands.

"No!"

"If you say it i will buy you a new beanie,"

"I already have one,"

"Bet you don't have a green one,"

He got me.

"Fine. Shit." I reluctantly whisper in defeat.

"Yes!" Michael high fives me.

Calum giggles from next to me.

"You sound like a girl when you giggle," I grin

"No I don't!" He protests

Michael nods, "I second her mate," He winks at me, making me blush and look down.

"Oi, no flirting with Lily, she is our friend."

Well it looks like I have some new friends.
