Bamboo

Bamboo,

Hasty and crisp,

Strong and thick with leaves as a lisp,

Healthy and firm,

Straight with with learn,

Vibrant greens sectioned thick,

Roots which give the water a lick,

Solid, determined, and a bit tough,

This strange stemmed grass, you can never have enough.

Bitter winds it filters to song,

Round with welcome long,

Flowers it throws out to Earth,

Every one hundred years from its heart-hearth.

A pandas food and joy,

They say tastes better than saucy soy,

Jungles it makes,

A maze it shakes,

Higher than man,

Wiser than any handmade fan,

Secrets it shares,

Stories it fares,

Colonies they grow,

Together as crow,

Friendship they have,

Nothing they crave.

Selfless with knowledge,

Bamboo.
