Katarina chewed on her fingernail as she and Annie discussed the events of the previous night as they walked towards the lacrosse field for the early morning practice.  Annie had ambushed Kat the second she walked through the door, asking where she had been and why she left her phone at the house.  The interrogation hadn't ceased since they left the McCall house.

"So you slept in his bed?"

"Well, I didn't mean to." Kat sighed, running a hand down her face as she avoided Annie's eyes at all costs.

"But you still slept in his bed?  Cuddling with him, no less?"

Kat dropped her hand in an exasperated manner, "Fine, yes, I cuddled with him and slept in his bed!  Happy now?"

          Annie cheekily smiled, "Very."

The pair fell into silence before Annie spoke up again, "I'm just happy that this is finally going somewhere."

"What d'you mean?" Kat chuckled, searching through her bag for her lacrosse folder.

"Scott and I called you and Stiles getting together, like, a week after I got here," Annie said as if Kat should have known exactly what she was talking about.

"You talked to my brother about me and Stiles?" Kat accusingly asked, turning to her best friend with a bewildered expression.

Annie shrugged, "You'd be surprised what two werewolves with mutual friends can bond over.  That, and, it was just too painfully obvious that neither of us could really help from bringing it up."

"You guys are so strange," Kat quietly said, laughing to herself. "And we're not together."

          Annie hummed, singing, "Not yet."

Kat scoffed and rolled her eyes despite the blush creeping up her neck and onto her cheeks as the pair came up to the bleachers.  Stiles suddenly jumped up and grabbed Kat's hand, dragging her off towards Coach Finstock on the other end of the bleachers before she or Annie could muster a word.

"Where are we going?" Kat skeptically asked, pulling the boy to a halt and staring up at him.

"We need to convince Coach to let Scott play goalie today.  And since you're the student coach, it'll be easier for me to do so with you backing me up." Stiles said, giving her a look that said she should have known that.

"Why?" Kat simply asked.  She didn't have the energy to fight him on it.

Stiles stepped closer to her, placing a hand on the small of her back and lowering his voice considerably as he moved her along the bleachers. "Scott picked up on another werewolf in the locker room, we need to know who it is."

Kat's eyes widened, understanding washing over her face. "Yeah, okay, got it," she nodded, letting her eyes sweep across the bleachers to find Coach Finstock.  She stepped towards him and asked, "Coach?  Can I talk to you?"

Coach Finstock, who was in a very bad mood, glared down to Kat and Stiles.  He spat, "What?"

Kat hesitated slightly, licking her lips before speaking. "I've been thinking that we need to round out our captains' abilities.  Maybe Scott and Danny should switch, just for today?"

The angry man stared down at the teens with a blank face.  Stiles and Kat rocked on their heels, anxiously awaiting his answer.  His eyes flickered between the two before he let out a defeated sigh, "Whatever.  It can't make me any more mad, can it?"
