Chapter 8

Wis(P.O.V.)

I walked inside the palace and headed to my room. I took a shower and slid my floral dress after. The consultation I had with Dr. William was strange. And ridiculous. I lay on my bed and stared at the ceiling. I wished Jess was here with me. I just needed someone right now. I forgot to ask Jess about her number. Weird right? It's because I am used to be with her all the time. Even taking a bath, sometimes. Now I missed her so much. I stand up on the bed and headed to the dining room. I sat beside Lara and Nathan. Domie appeared infront of the crowd, instead of Auxdener. Where was he? I did not finish my food and went to my room. I read a book entitled "Fallen". I opened my phone and checked for the time.

It was 8:19, and the other trainees were supposed to be in their own rooms. And maybe it was a good time for swimming. So I dressed myself up with my swimming attire. The hallway was dark, but I had managed to walk through it until I reached the door which leads to the yard. I headed to the pool and placed my towel at the chair. I took a deep breath and plunged into the water. I stayed underwater for how many seconds. I ascended into the water when I ran out of air, just then I saw Domie sitting at the edge of the pool, handing me a can of root beer, causing me to gasped. "Hey. Mind if you joined me for drink?" I nodded.

I hoisted myself up to the pool and reached for the can. I plucked and drink the root beer.

"Why are you here?" I asked him. He smirked.

"Don't you want me to be here with you?" I rolled my eyes at him. We talked for almost 2 hours and it was getting cold.

"I'm so tired."

"Hmm?" I raised my eyebrow.

"Tired of being compared to Auxdener." I tilted my head to see him and he turned his face to see me.

"Auxdener seems to be their favorite leader of all. He was brave, invincible and relentless." He sighed.

"But he can't beat me on one thing." I smiled. "And what might it be?" He leaned closer to me and I leaned back.

" Being handsome." He said and smirked. I scooped some water from the pool using my hand and splashed it on him. He took his revenge by doing the same thing to me. We both laughed just then someone grumbled at our backs. It was Auxdener. We both went silent and put a small space between us.

"Did I interrupted both of you?" We both shook our heads. I know he gazed at me, but I refused to look back. "It's late. You should go inside." He said.

I nodded and stand up to reach for my towel and ran inside the house.

When I reached inside, I peeked on the door and saw the two of them talking. And it seems Auxdener is mad at Domie.

Domie stand up from the edge of the pool and walked away. But before he could go too far, Auxdener gripped his hand. I went shocked of that sudden motion of him.

Domie said something to him before he removed his hand from Auxdener's grip and headed to the door.

I hurriedly headed upstairs to avoid being caught by him.

When I reached the hallway, I tiptoed and went straight to my room.

I locked my door and went to the bathroom. I took a shower and wrapped myself a towel. I slid a sweat pants and a sleeveless shirt and lay on my bed.

I turned on the tv and watch "The fault in our stars" that was showing.

After a few minutes, my eyes went heavy, so I turned off the tv and sleep.
