Another day at Broadway, wasn't it? Not exactly.

One little theater in that particular area was playing the one and only smash hit Hamilton. Many people around the world know the cast, lyrics and tunes from this musical, but what do people know behind the scenes?

"Da da da dat da! Da da da da da ya da..!"

Phillipa Soo and Lin-Manuel Miranda, dressed and ready for the upcoming scenes, watched as the great Jonathan Groff hit it off with the high notes given to his character, King George III. The two were simply there at the side of the stage, hidden from the audience and patiently waiting. The couple were hand in hand, not saying a word to each other, just happy to be at each other's presence.

Without a warning, Pippa's face moved towards his and sge planted a quick kiss on her pretend husband's cheek. Lin's eyes widened, not expecting the gesture as Pippa silently giggled.

As Lin moved to reply with another kiss, Pip had dodged the move and pulled Groff, now finished performing, to her place. Lin's lips met Jon's for a few seconds until he came to his senses and realized that who he was kissing was definitely not his girlfriend. He pulled away, eyes wider than ever.

"Thanks, Lin! I needed that!" Jonathan joked, walking away in a fit of laughter as Lin grew red in the cheeks. The people who were there to see it happen discreetly laugh. Shaking it off, he knew that he had to take his revenge on Pippa, and he knew when.

"What comes next? You've been freed..."

Phillipa had just finished fixing her hair when a knock came on her dressing room door. She stood up from where she was seated, ready for a regular mid-show talk with Sasha or Betsy when she realized that the other person at the door wasn't who she was expecting. Lin pulled her in for a tender kiss, something they weren't able to do since their little scene before History Has Its Eyes On You.

"That's my first point today!" He said when he finally released the kiss, kissing her on the cheek right after before running away and saying, "Second!"

As Pippa watched him run, she rolled her eyes. This kissing competition of theirs has been going on for a few weeks now; not that any of them were complaining. The basics were to steal kisses in between KG3's songs, and, as silly as its sounds, the one who steals the least amount of kisses pays for their late night dinner/snack and the cab ride home. The person who started this challenge was the one and only Mr. Groff who, one day, came to the couple and said, "You two kiss so much, it should be like, a competition or something." And so it was.

It's a shame that our Helpless and Satisfied kisses aren't counted, she thought, closing her dressing room door before walking back to the area near the wings of the stage, ready for her cue. Lin was on the other side of the stage, his tongue out to mock her. She chuckled, thinking of how lucky she was to have such a childish yet genius boyfriend.

"I'm perplexed..."

This song was a quick one, so Pippa stealthily walked towards Lin, who was clearly looking for her. He had a stack of papers in hand, ready for his next dramatic scene, yet he wanted to see if he could steal at least one more kiss before walking onstage. Pippa thought ahead though, so when Jazzy called Lin in for a quick conversation, Phillipa kissed the distracted actor on his temple and jaw before smirking, waving him goodbye and thanking Jasmine.

"Not so fast!" He said, quickly grabbing her hand and placing repeated kisses starting from the top of her hand to her elbow, causing her to laugh in reaction. He honestly didn't care how much points he got that night, he was simply happy to be dating such a silly and awesome human being.

"Okay, so you're paying tonight, right?" An exhausted Lin asked jokingly, wrapping an arm around a tired Pippa's waist. Their last performance of the week had just ended and the two were starving. They couldn't wait to grab some take out or something.

"Yeah," she laughed, slowly peeling the microphone tape off her skin as they reached backstage. "It's worth it, though."

He smiled. Just by looking at her, he can feel happiness radiating all over his body. "The King's Challenge," as what they had chosen to call it, brought them so close to each other even if they had just started dating a month ago.

She smiled as well, taking his hands in hers.

But, speaking of the King...

"Hey, that's my crush!" Groff said once he met up with the couple, a bottle of water in hand as he shooed Pippa's hands away from Lin's. "Now that we finally had our first kiss together, I realized how in love I am with this man. Let's go on a date, Lin!"

Phillipa burst into laughter when she saw Lin's horrified face. Jonathan laughed it off as well, shaking Lin's arms before walking away. Oh, that guy.
