Lucy's POV
I'm home. Actually home! I was heart broken that I couldn't tell Natsu where I was going. They said he would be too tempted, and he could get into some serious trouble if he tried finding me. I knew I had made the right choice, I just wish he could've been there.
Natsu looked really different when I saw him, although, I did too. So much has happened these past two years, especially my magic. I left to advance my Celestial Spirt Magic, but the final outcome was something far from just that.
Natsu's POV
We stopped by her appartment to drop her stuff off, and I learned that her exceed's name is Sapphire, after a fire gem. I can already see Happy and her being the bestest of friends. My mind is spinning, with the overwhelming joy of seeing her and the questions that don't stop popping into my head.
After we left Lucy's apartment, she told me she had something to show me, so we went to one of my favorite spots. A glade not too far from her apartment. Once we arrived, she stopped and turned around.
"First, I want to show you what took me two years to learn," she stepped a couple paces backward.
"I'm going to need you to light a fire over there," she nodded to her left. As I did what she asked I noticed a pond and a small cliff near us, and that's when it all clicked. The handkerchief that matched my scarf, the exceed, and why she couldn't tell me where she went.. and then I felt this giant amount of magic power coming off of Lucy. My eyes widened as I watched her do something I did not expect.
"Fire"
"Water"
"Ice"
"Sky"
"Earth"
"Unison Raid!" she chanted. She took out a group of trees to my left, just right past me.
Igneel used to tell me stories about a Dragon Slayer with power like this and I asked him once if these stories were true.
"One day, my boy, they will be. This wizard won't be any normal kind of Dragon Slayer. They will have 5 times the amount of power you could imagine. This dragon's name-"
"The 5 Elemental Dragon Slayer. Heir to The Celestial Kingdom, and heir to The Dragon Realm. Lucy.." I whispered to myself. I fell to my knees. All this time, I was in love with someone with such power, and a strong will for humanity. Any other person would fear her, but they wouldn't know the truth of her magic, and they wouldn't know Lucy like I do.
I smiled, still on my knees, putting my hands on the ground.
"I've heard stories about you, when I was with Igneel."
"About the 5 Elemental Dragon Slayer. That's who I went to train with. Igneel, Grandine, Stellar, Aurora, and Admon. You then must also know that I'm heir to the-"
"Celestial Kingdom and The Dragon Realm. That's where you went?"
"Yeah.. I begged them to let you come with me. Bringing you back to Igneel is all I ever wanted to do for you. It's what you live for," she got down to my level and helped me up.
"It's okay, I understand," I said as I looked into her deep, brown eyes. She smiled softly and had a light hue on her cheeks.
"You know, you're the first person I've talked to in like two years?"
"You didn't talk to anyone the whole time I was gone?!" she took a step back, I knew she wouldn't be happy about that.
"Yeah... I shut everyone out. I've been paying for your rent, and I've been sleeping there nearly every night. I lost my appeite, stopped fighting, I haven't even really spoken to Happy. You leaving, was the worst thing that happened to me."
"Natsu... I'm so sorry. I didn't mean for this to happen, any of it." Before she could say anything else, I pulled her into my arms.
"Don't you ever, ever blame yourself for any of this. I just wasn't as strong as I should've been. Trust me," I told her as I rested my chin on her head.
"I just didn't know if you'd come back, or if I'd ever see you again. I wasn't sure what you'd come back too. Fairy Tail wasn't the same without you Lucy."
"I'm sorry, Natsu." she leaned her forehead gently on my chest.
"Hey you know what I totally forgot?" I smiled and pulled away from her.
"What?"
"Your birthday presents!"
