Chapter 26~ Decisions (Go Anyway)

"I'll be right back." I said as I opened the door and walked out.

I looked around. At the end of the hall there were two vending machines. I started to walk down the hall.

Saeran didn't say a word... Not a single one. Normally he would be pissed off by me talking, but... singing... he seemed okay with it... Maybe it's because he just woke up. Yeah, that's it. I thought, or maybe we're making progress. He did look at me today, which is a big change. Normally he didn't bat an eye, but he looked at me. I'm sure if I'm patient with him it'll pay off!

I looked up at the vending machine. It was filled with junk food. Chips, cookies, rice crispy treats and... Candy.

Saeran always had a sweet tooth, he probably still does. I thought. I'll get him some candy. I inserted some money in and pressed 202.

(Quick side note, I don't think any of you have noticed this but all the numbers in this book have a meaning. I won't give it away but read the title and you'll figure out how to get the meaning of the numbers. Sorry, just wanted to point that out)

A bar of candy dropped down. I noticed I still had some money in the machine so I got some chips too. I took the candy out and then moved onto the vending machine next to it. I put In three dollars and got a water for Saeran. I it dropped down. I opened up the bottom of it and took it out.

It's not very healthy but nor is the junk these people feed you. Plus, considering what happened yesterday, they'd probably drug his food. I thought as I walked down the hall and back to Saeran's room.

I opened the door and walked in.

"I'm back." I said as I shut the door. I took a chair and moved it next to the bed. I then sat down. "Sit up, please?" Saeran, surprisingly, did as I said. "Here." I said as I handed him the food. "It's not healthy in the slightest but it's good enough." he stared at it.

"I'd rather eat the slop this place feeds me then eat this." He said. I arched my eyebrow.

"We both know that's a lie." I said, "It'll make you feel better, I promise." He glared at the food that sat in his lap. "I also got you a water, want to make sure you're hydrated!" I said with a smile. He mumbled something and then picked up the candy. He opened it up and took a bite. I smiled at him as he ate it. His whole demeanor changed, even though he didn't look like it, he was enjoying it. "I'm glad you like it."

"I don't."

"Then why'd you eat it?" I asked.

"I was hungry."

"Sure~" I sung. I was expecting some rude comment but he didn't say anything. I smiled and watched him as he continued to eat.

"Are you just going to sit there watching me?" Saeran asked. I cocked my head.

"Why?" I asked, "I'll sit in the corner if you want me to." He didn't respond. "I'll take that as a no." He opened his mouth but then shut it. He seemed more calm then before. "Oh, I never asked, how are you feeling today?"

"Why do you care?" he sneered.

"Because I want to get you out of here as soon as possible." I said, "The people here creep me out, it's like they're not human."
