Clary and Alec

Chapter 2

Jace POV

I walked through the halls of the institute when I saw a flash of red hair. I walked towards it and realized it was the girl from pandemonium yesterday. Now I could see her face more clearly and she was beautiful. He fiery red hair curled and fell down her back. She turned to look at me with her emerald green eyes and I felt like I could get lost in them

"So you're the new shadowhunter" I said smirking and she blushed and nodded. She was cute when she blushed and I took a moment to take in all her details

I didn't realize how long I had been staring until I heard Izzy say her name was Clarissa and she was valentines daughter

"...I prefer Clary Fray...." She said as I saw Izzy hug her

I started staring again until I heard Maryse telling Izzy to take them to their rooms but immediately I wanted to get to know this girl so I offered instead

Izzy POV

I saw Jace staring at Clary and her blushed knowing that that Jace would make his move soon. She seemed nice and innocent in 'that' department so I hoped that Jace wouldn't use her and toss her aside like the others

Alec just stood looking at her. It was hard to tell his thoughts at first but then I saw the jealousy as he watched Jace flirt with Clary. He liked her but as always Jace swooped in first. I think Alec would make her happier but obviously it wasn't my choice so we would have to see what happens. I just hope Alec wouldn't be to upset with Jace and Clary together, or that eventually he might make a move himself

Alec POV

I don't how I felt having Valentine's daughter stay at the institute but I couldn't deny she was beautiful. My gaze drifted to Jace though as I watched him smirking making her blush. She was even more beautiful when she blushed, I just wished it was me making her blush instead of Jace

I knew Jace liked her and I wouldn't stand a chance so I didn't bother reacting to her arrival and just stood there while Izzy spoke

Clary POV

We walked silently through the halls of the institute behind Jace. We stopped at a door as he said to my mom this was her room. She thanked him and told me that she would see to me in a minute. Jace then walked two doors down and told me this was my room. I looked up at him and said thank you and reached for the handle to open my door

Before I could turn the handle Jace put his hand on top of mine and said and he was in the room opposite me if I needed anything. I looked up at him,  smiled and nodded before heading into my room

I put my bag on my bed and began unpacking when my mom walked in

"Clary I'm going out with Luke for a few hours will you be okay here by yourself?"

I looked up at my mom before saying "of course you have fun, I'll just hang out with Izzy or something"

She smiled at me and closed my door as I carried on unpacking
