Chapter 11: Better Parent

Y/N's P.O.V:

I sit in my car seat looking out the window, all around me were people just living their lives. Some parents, some not, some happy, some sad, but that didn't matter because they were all just simply living their lives... outside. I realize now that this outside world isn't dangerous, it's the way you live it that is. I've lived my life in fear because of my mother, I never knew how amazing this world could be. I've seen so many things I didn't even know existed and it's all because of Matt. He's doing a really great job as a parent, he's better than my mother when it comes to caring for me. I towards the front seat to see my Dad focused on the road, a small smile forms on my face. 

"Daddy?" He looks over his shoulder at me as he stopped at the red light "Yes kiddo?" he questions smiling. "I love you!" I yell smiling, his smile brightens "I love you too my little angel, but I got to focus on the road so we can get home." I smile and lean my head back onto the window "Okay Daddy." I yawn and close my eyes, I'll probably fall asleep on the car ride home.
