The next morning~

Lucy woke up, her eyes red and swollen. She looked to the side of her and saw Happy and Carla. She then looked towards the window and saw Lily sleeping on the sofa. Lucy sat there on the bed, her eyes blank. The events that happened yesterday came flooding back as she stared at the cloudy scenery outside. Gripping the blanket sheets, she tried to hold her tears in.

But suddenly, her eyes widened. "Ugh."

She ran to the bathroom inside their room and kneeled down, her head hovering over the toilet. She had an urge to throw up but she couldn't. She hadn't eaten anything for at least a day. The nauseous feeling remained.

"Lucy?" Lily came in, his eyes filled with worry.

"I'm okay," Lucy managed to say as she returned back to the toilet, finally managing to throw something up.

"You don't look okay," Lily narrowed his eyes. "I'll go get some water for you."

"That'll be nice," Lucy smiled as she leaned on the toilet.

Happy and Carla soon woke up and walked over to Lucy, a worried expression on their faces.

"Morning sickness?" Carla asked.

"You know?" Lucy asked, rather surprised.

"I have some knowledge of what happens during pregnancy," Carla replied. "You should try to get some food into your system."

Lucy nodded her head in agreement.

"Then let's go down to the canteen!" Happy exclaimed, trying to cheer her up.

"You guys must be hungry, too," Lucy smiled apologetically. "Let's go get some food to eat."

The four walked down the stairs and to the canteen. Even in a simple pink-colored dress covered with a beige cardigan and messy bed-hair, Lucy still looked as attractive. However, the way she looked pale and almost like a porcelain doll made them worry.

"Here, Lucy," Happy handed her a tray.

Lucy took it and smiled. "Thank you, Happy."

"For now, you should foods high with fiber since there's a high risk of developing constipation during pregnancy," Carla said, placing a plate of whole-grain pasta on her tray. "And also this fruit salad and these loafs of bread. Make sure to drink milk, too."

Lucy laughed. "Understood, Carla."

Seeing her laugh, Carla smiled. Happy and Lily looked at one another in relief and they, too, brightened up. Having received their meals, the four made their way to an empty table and settled down. Happy, Carla, and Lily immediately began wolfing down the food for they hadn't eaten since yesterday afternoon. Lucy quietly ate her food as she watched the three of them with a soft gaze.

"Thank you for the food," Lucy said, setting her fork down.

She wiped her mouth and as she did, Happy, Carla, and Lily also finished their tray.

"Thank you for the food," the three said in unison.

The four brought their trays to the counter for the staff to clean and began making their way back upstairs. Lucy opened the door and expected Laxus to be sitting there with a grin on his face but he wasn't there. She faltered at the doorstep. She looked at the room in silence, her eyes beginning to water.

"Lucy?" Happy asked, looking up at her.

"It's nothing. Was a little absent-minded just now," Lucy said with a smile.

There was no hiding it from them. They saw the look in Lucy's eyes as well as heard the shakiness in Lucy's voice. She was thinking of Laxus.

"Hey, Lucy," Carla said, her eyes beaming. "Let's go somewhere today."
