Chapter 23.5~ Lone Exploration (Café)

"Do you want to use mine?" Jaehee asked.

"No thank you." I said, "I want to see how long it takes Luciel to realize I'm gone."

"But won't he be worried?" She asked.

"Once he realizes I'm gone he'll track me down."

"I'm afraid to ask but how will he do that?"

"He implanted tracking devices in my clothes." Jaehee stared at me with a blank look. "Yup... I'm being constantly tracked... You get used to it." I sighed, "Anyway, what are you doing here?"

"Mr. Han came here to try to get a pet store to sell his new line of cat food." Jaehee sighed.

"He really likes cats." I said, "Do you like cats Jaehee?"

"I do not care for them but I do not despise the either."

"Pets are a handful." I sighed. "Luciel keeps asking if we can get a cat."

"Yes, I advise you do not let him, however."

"Yes, I am well aware not to let him go near them." I sighed.

"Can we get a cat?" I imitated Luciel.

"No." I said in my regular voice.

"Please (2/n)~"

"No."

"But I'll take care of it!"

"You can barely take care of yourself." Jaehee burst into laughter. I smiled.

"You do a perfect Luciel impression." She said as she stopped laughing. "How is he anyway?"

"He's doing well. He's gone on strike because I won't let him eat those chips."

"Yes, he did seem to be overly obsessed with them"

"Oh, you don't even know." I sighed, " He has six boxes of them in the garage."

"How did he get that many of them anyway?"

"The agency sent him out to catch a group of people who stole these chips from factory and instead of being paid with money he was paid with chips. I wasn't around when it happened so when I came home all I saw were potato chip bags." Her face was pure confusion. "You should have seen my face. I went to the kitchen and the ice cubes had Honey Buddha Chips in them."

"Why? That sounds.... Not pleasant."

"It was because, according to Luciel, PHD Pepper and Honey Buddha Chips are the perfect combination, so Luciel's logic is when the ice melts it makes "infuses" the soda with the Honey Buddha Chips." She arched her brow. "Don't ask me." I sighed.

"Sorry (2/n), give me a second, please." Jaehee said as she picked up the phone. Jaehee stood up and stepped outside I sat at the table and sipped the     (f/d).

'How long will it take for Luciel to notice I'm gone?' I asked myself.

"(2/n)?" Jaehee said as she walked back over. "I'm sorry but Mr. Han needs is going back to the office which means I will have to go back as well." She said as she gathered up her stuff. "It was a pleasure to meet you." She said as she walked away leaving me alone.

I finished drinking the (f/d) and threw it out. I threw out the cup it was in and walked out of the café.

"(Y/N)!" I looked over as Luciel ran over to me.

"It's about time you found me."

"How'd you get all the way over here?!" He practically shouted.

"The bus, why?"

"I thought you said you were going to throw out garbage?!"

"I was but then I got locked out... Didn't you get my message?"

"NO!" He said, "Why didn't you answer your phone?!"

"... I left it inside, along with the dictionary." I sighed, "It's on my desk."

"Never mind, we're going home." He said as he dragged me along.

"Oh, by the way, I met Jaehee." He stopped in his tracks.

"You what?"

"I bumped into Jaehee." He sighed.

"At least it was only Jaehee... You didn't meet Jumin too, right?"

"No, why?" He didn't respond. "Luciel?"

"No reason!" He said, "Let's go!"

I sat in the passenger's seat of Luciel's red sports car.

"I'm glad I implanted those tracking devices." He said.

"Stalker." I mumbled.
