Chapter 23~ Savior

"Put your hands behind your back." The man ordered. I didn't listen to him. "(Y/n), it's me. Play along for now."

"Vanderwood?" I asked as I turned my neck to look behind me. It was him. I did as he said.

"I found the best escape route. When we get to that main room what do you want me to do?"

"Change of plans. V had a phone so we contacted Jumin, he should be here soon so if we have to stall for time." He nodded, "If they don't arrive soon I need you to grab Saeran and use him as a hostage. You still have that gun, right?" I asked. He nodded.

"What, do you want me to kill him?!"

"No, but he seems to be Rika's most valuable member of this cult. That will buy us a lot of time. While they are distracted I'll break free, untie Saeyong and we'll take it from there. I said as Vanderwood tied my hands behind my back, very loosely.

"Got it." He said. "Walk." he ordered. I did a he said. I trailed behind Saeyoung and V. We exited the cell and made our way upstairs.

We walked into a large room with a red carpet that lead to some sort of tent like structure.

"For Mint Eye's everlasting paradise!" The people said in unison. "Let's guide the sinners to heaven through the holy cleanse."

Who are these people? How did they get involved with Mint Eye? I asked myself. Whoever they are I'm sure they have family somewhere who miss them. How is this everlasting paradise?

The three of us were lined up and forced to kneel infront of the seat where Rika would be, presumably, sitting.

"They must have been preparing for this long before we came. God..." Seayoung said.

"How long until Jumin arrives?" I asked.

"He's far away. It'll take more than five hours by car."

"It's been about three hours since we sent that text, just have to stall for two more." I said, "But then again, this is Jumin, he'll probably come in with a tank or something." I said as I chuckled.

"Oww... Laughing... Still hurts."

"It's the savior!" one of the people said as Rika walked in.

They act as if she's god. I thought, its sad. Rika walked up to the chair that sat under that tent like structure.

"For everlasting paradise." Rika said as she turned around and looked at everyone.

"For everlasting paradise!" The men said.

"We will now begin with the entering ceremony for the new disciples. Sadly one of them, as you know, has escaped. But that doesn't matter." She said, referring to Vanderwood. "These two here will cleanse themselves of the unnecessary knowledge acquired in the contaminated word. They will give their all to endure the process, and pledge to participate in the party of paradise that only pursues everlasting happiness and joy." Her seemingly endless smile soon turned into a glare. "But before, we will proceed with the cleansing ceremony for the arrogant sinner," I looked over to V. He was staring down to the ground. "This is all for our party of everlasting paradise!"
