Chapter 22~ Unvarnished Truth

"What if Rika sent him to lie to us?"

"Yeah, what if?!" I asked, "Look at him, you can tell he's telling the truth. On the chatrooms you could tell how much he cared about Rika, keeping her this way would hurt her more, he's not lying." Saeyoung sighed.

"Rika was sick a long time before she met me. She was suffering from paranoia and depression for a long time... Looking at my photographs and helping others was therapeutic for her." V said, "She was depressed to hide the fact that she was sick... And never showed it to anyone. Even Jumin never noticed. Ever since the second party.... And more after Ssally died... You have no idea how hard it was to leave him... What the hell were you doing?" I looked up from the phone to see Saeyoung in tears. I wanted to badly to hug him but I had work to do.

"...I'm sorry." V replied.

"I'm sorry will never be enough. I won't ever forgive you! Even if you never planned this to happen...!"

"Ugh..."

"Saeran... My brother... What are you going to do...! Turn everything back?!" Saeyoung shouted. "It's all because of you! I'll never forgive you!"

"Saeyoung.... It's all my fault..." He sounded so much like me when I saw Saeran again. I could tell that he wasn't telling the truth and was only lying to him to make him feel like it wasn't his fault. "We were just used.... We were innocent... You two used us! You and that savior... I'm going to do everything to destroy you both."

"Ugh..."

"Saeyoung I know how you feel, I'm angry too but please, try to calm down." I said. He didn't reply.

"God..." V groaned.

"Why did you involve (Y/n), then?"

"That's ... When she first logged into the messenger I thought that it was Rika, but I was wrong. I wasn't positive though. If it were Rika she would be in danger, so I did it to be safe."

"Why did Saeran start hacking us ever since (Y/n) came... He wanted the information?"

"No, Mint Eye was after all the RFA members. Rika wanted to prove me wrong... And try to absorb all the members into Mint Eye. But the plan failed because you won over Saeran..."

What is he talking about? I asked myself.

"I disguised myself as a desicple and stayed here.... To acquire information."

"... That's why we couldnt reach you."

"Yeah..."

"Damn it..." Saeyoung cursed. "Knowing more won't change anything, unless there's a way to change Saeran back to the way he was."

"If Rika changes, I think there's a possibility Saeran will realize the truth. Then he might return to you."

"So how would we do that?" I asked.

"I can let her destroy me until she is satisfied."

"...You're not saying..."

"He might be lying. I feel so complicated after hearing all this." Saeyong said, I was about to say something when Saeyoung cut me off. "(Y/n) is my top priority so we need to escape."

"Yup! I'm already onto the RFA server!" I said.

Saeran, hold on please, we're so close.... Don't give up now.

(Hello my roses! Sorry for not updating. My mom's close friend passed away yesterday and I was brought along to see her in the hospital. It's been very hectic around the house so I wasn't able to update yesterday. Sorry, anyway, I'm back and ready to continue writing! Get ready!
