Chapter 2

Dream

"Derek."Ava said as he looks at her arms bleeding.
"Ava! What happened?"I said.
"Help me."Ava said.
Derek smell the air and she smells depressed.
"Why are you depressed Ava?"I said.
Ava falls and Derek caught her.
Derek wakes up.

He runs to see where Ava is.
He sees her with Isaac sleeping.
He saw a tear run down her face.
He looked at the time on his phone.
'Great 9:48am. I don't have to go to the ice rink until noon.' Derek thought to himself.
He sees Ava moving and leaves the room.
He goes to get dressed.

Ava's POV
I wake Isaac and tell him to get dressed and I see my hearing aid.
"Ahhh! That hurts. Be careful picking it up next time."Isaac said.
"Sorry. Isaac."I said.
I get my sketchbook out.

I try to finish my drawing.
"What are you drawing?"Derek asked.
"Just finishing one of my own drawings."I said.
"May I see?"Derek asked.

"Haven't been drawing much."I said.
"Isaac,Erica,and I are going to the ice rink to get a new beta. Can I leave you here without any trouble?"Derek asked.
"Don't worry about me Derek. I am going to be fine."I said.
I grab an apple and my medicine in the room.
"Be back in a few."Derek said.
Twenty-nine minutes later they come back with a dark man.
They hear Ava playing her mp3 loud.
Isaac crouched down to Ava.
"This is Vernon Boyd. He likes being called Boyd."Isaac said.
I look at Boyd and start drawing him.

"Your tall Boyd."I said.
"That's Ava. Isaac's sister. Sweet little thing."Erica told Boyd.
"She's fragile."Boyd said.
"She is because she is innocent. She doesn't listen to no one. Well besides Isaac."Erica said.
I run to Isaac and see blood on his shirt.
"Isaac why is your shirt bloody?"I ask.
"In a fight with another beta. His name is Scott McCall."Isaac said.
"You alright?"I ask.
"I'm alright. I'm healing."Isaac said.
"Physically you don't look alright."I said.
"I'm fine!"Isaac yelled as Ava cried.
"I'm sorry. I didn't mean to yell at you."Isaac said.
Isaac hugs Ava.
"You need to rest."Isaac said.
Ava sleeps all day.

Next day Ava got up and sees a guy being held by Erica and Isaac.
"You've always been a snake Jackson but you aren't the snake I'm looking for."Derek said.
They throw him on the floor.
"You are going to do me and my sister a favor."Isaac said to Jackson.
"We need to go to school. Come on Ava and get dressed."Isaac said.
We get a ride from Derek to school.

School
We are in English and two boys walk up to me.
"You're Ava Lahey. Isaac's sister."one of them said.
"I-I a-am."I said.
"Wh Who are you?"I ask.
"I'm Scott and that's Stiles."he said.
"What is Derek planning?"Scott asked.
"I have no idea. I'm just there for protection."I said.
"From what?"Stiles asks.
"The thing that attacked my father."I said.
They leave and my bullies come and grab my bag and me and drags me to the bathroom.
"Why were you talking to Scott and Stiles you whore?"Veronica said.
"Uh..it it wasn't m my fault they they came to m me."I said.
Veronica slaps Ava.
"Don't stutter bitch you might be a hoe."Veronica said.
"I haven't been sleeping with anyone."I said.
"What about Tristan Day? You haven't been sleeping with him either."Veronica said.
I try to walk away but they push me on the floor.
They beat Ava up.
Erica walks in the restroom with Isaac and see the girls beating Ava up.
Erica beats them up while Isaac picks up his sister.
"Why were they beating you Ava?"Isaac asks.
"Tristan. Veronica hates me because her brother in jail."I said.
Isaac stops Erica in the bathroom.
"Call Derek to pick her up."Isaac told Erica.
Erica goes to Ava and helps her up but she has a seizure.
Erica puts her on her side.
Erica calls Derek and then the ambulance.
They take Ava to the hospital.
They leave and Isaac and Erica goes to chemistry.

Hospital
"Every time someone touches her she has seizures."an EMT said.
"In her brain it tells her someone touches you. So she seizes. Ava! Your in the hospital. What happened to her?"the nurse said.
"She was in the bathroom and people were beating her up for talking a McCall. They called her a whore and a hoe and a bitch."EMT said.
Ava moves her head and they see her hearing aid.
"She is deaf. See won't hear us."she said.
"Ava I'm Melissa McCall."she said.
She gives her a shot so she stops seizing.
Ava wakes up twenty-six minutes later and sees restraints on her.
Melissa comes in.
"I'm Melissa McCall. I'm your nurse. Can you tell us what happened?"Melissa signed.
"Get these restraints off of me."I signed.
Sheriff comes in.
"Melissa she is a schizophrenic."sheriff said.
"I'm going to take these off. I gave a shot for you to stop seizing."Melissa said.
"These girls dragged me in the bathroom to talk about Tristan Day. They wanted to know why he is in jail. Your son wanted to talk about someone. They called me a whore,a hoe,and a bitch."I signed.
Melissa translates.
"You have cuts on your wrists. Did you do that?"Melissa asked.
"Yes."I sign.
"Why?"Melissa signed.
"I am disgusted. I feel unloved and no one is around to care for me."I sign.
"Your depressed."Melissa said.
"Yeah. My father beat me and Tristan raped me and damaged my eardrum. Tristan used to beat me until he stopped and raped me when he was around. Why shouldn't I be able to be depressed?"I sign.
Melissa tells him everything.
"Sheriff said he will be in jail for a long time."Melissa signs.
"He can't because his sister will torment me all the time with her friends."I sign.
Melissa translates to the sheriff.
"That's was all."sheriff said.
"You seem to draw and you have an mp3."Melissa signed.
"Like the rhythm of the beat."I sign.
"You draw friends?"Melissa signed.
"I have none."I sign.
"Why not?"Melissa signed.
"Cant. Not when Veronica torments me."I sign.
