Avery POV:

I was standing outside my dad apartment with Damon beside me as Elijah wasn't here so I had no choice but to bring Damon we are telling my dad that I am pregnant with his grandkid I just hope that he doesn't react and shout at me saying that's it your never seeing Elijah ever again but like that will stop me anyways here we go, I knocked on my dad's door and he took about a minute to answer it when he did he smiled at me and Damon as we both walked in Damon closed the door behind us

"What's bring you both here"my dad asked me and Damon as we all sat down on the couches

"Avery tell him the news"Damon said as he looked at me

"Dad I'm pregnant with Elijah baby"I said as I looked at my dad right in the face

"Your what"my dad said

"Pregnant Ric she is pregnant with the moral vampire baby"Damon answered for me

"Congratulations I am so happy I get to be a grandfather"my dad replied back as he stood up and walked over to me and hugged me tightly

I hugged him back we hugged for a couple of seconds then we pulled away and sat back down on the couches drinking tea well for Damon a blood bag and for me hot chocolate with a hint of blood through it so the only person drinking the tea is my dad

"Where is Elijah"my dad asked

"He is in New Orleans with his family taking care of their business there and packing up the rest of their stuff so they left me here with Damon since Elijah knew that Damon would take good care of me as will you dad"I replied back to my dad

"When are they coming back"my dad asked again

"Next week but Elijah might come back early to see the scan and me of course"I replied back

"Are you excited about the weddings Ric I know I am"Damon asked as he looked between me and my dad

"I can't wait to walk my beautiful daughter down the aisle to her vampire fiancé"my dad replied with a smile on his face

"Dad you do know that you have to wait till Elijah and his family get back since I can't get married without him"I said to him as a smile grew on my face

"I'd be happy to take his place"Damon said smirking

"No not an option"my dad replied

I laughed but then stopped as Damon growled at me

"Love you too Ric"Damon said

"Damon he is only messing with you"I said while laughing

Just then my phone went off letting me know that someone was phoning me I looked at the caller I'd and saw that it was Elijah I got up and walked into my old bedroom that still had my old bed and sat down on it and pressed answer on my phone

Phone COVO:

Elijah:Good morning beautiful how are you today

Avery:I'm fine Elijah how are you

Elijah:I'm well thanks for asking I have news that you will like my darling

Avery:okay go ahead

Elijah:I am coming back early since NiKlaus took care of the business for me so I am leaving the now and will be there tonight just after midnight it took us a full day to pack the rest of our things up then today we are finishing our business here expect for me as I am coming home to you
