The Next Morning 

Avery POV:

I woke up on Elijah bare chest i knew he was awake since he was playing with my hair and kissing my forehead, i looked up at him as he looked down at me and smiled which i returned.

"Morning my love sleep well"Elijah asked me

"Morning my handsome fiance and i slept great and your self"I replied back to him 

"I slept amazing since i had the girl of my dreams in my arms"Elijah replied back to me 

Just then the door opened and in walked Meredith she looked around then her eyes fell on me and Elijah she smiled at us 

"Morning you two i have news about Alaric"She said and after she said that Damon sat up from his bed and looked at Meredith and he wasn't the only one as Stefan, Klaus, Kol, Davina and Rebekah got up as well 

"Split it out Doc"Klaus said 

"Alaric is responding to the medication that we are giving him but when we did a scan it showed something that i think Avery you have to hear by your self"Meredith replied as she looked at me 

"No anything you have to say to her you say to all of us and Avery will tell us anyways or we will hear since we have Vampire hearing"Damon said as he stood up and walked over to Meredith

"Damon calm down where do you want to go Meredith"I asked her as i stood up and picked up my shoes and placed them on my feet

"Avery you can't be serious about going to talk to her let me come with you it's Ric we are talking about here"Damon said as he looked at me

"Damon you are going to hear since you like to eavesdrop on everyone conversation"I replied back to him as i followed Meredith out of the room 

Meredith waked down the hall and to her office she opened the door as i walked in behind her and closed the door behind me she sat down at her office desk as i sat down in front of her in one of the chairs 

"Okay i am sorry to tell you this Avery but your dad has a Cancer blood cell inside of him lucky we found it before it could expend which means we can treat it and then it will be gone and out of your father system"Meredith said to me 

Wait what my dad has cancer and he didn't once think to tell me or Damon or anyone else for that matter but no he didn't tell anyone he just kept it to himself i thought we were closer than that but i guess not, tears were coming down my face 

"How long"I asked her

"The surgery is in an hour but Avery the surgery is a high procedure giving how your dad was coughing up blood it's a slim chance that he might not make it he told me not to tell you Avery or Damon he wanted to keep it to himself"Meredith replied back to me 

"Did he honestly think i wasn't going to find out"I said as i stood up and turned and ran out of the room and to my fathers hospital room 

I ran pasted the family waiting room and i saw that the door was opened i didn't look in to know that they heard me running Damon shouted on me but i kept running i had to see him my dad and find out why he kept him having cancer from me i'm his daughter he should've told me about this. I arrived at my father hospital room i opened the door and walked in closing it behind me and when i did my dad was already awake and looking at me with a worry look on his face 

"Why didn't you tell me"I asked him 

"What are you talking about"He replied back to me with a confused look on his face
