Avery POV:

I was freezing cold when i got into the hospital since i forgot to bring my jacket with me, me and Damon were following the nurses we were about to go through the doors but we were stopped by another nurse 

"Sorry you can't go through there"The nurse said to us

"Yes we can he is my father"I shouted 

"Miss calm down it's the hospital policy no one can go pass those doors until the patient is ready to be seen"The nurse replied

"What since when go and get me Meredith i want her"I shouted

Damon placed his arm around my shoulder 

"I got this"Meredith said as she walked over to us

"Meredith please let Avery through"Damon asked 

"I'm sorry but i can't i wish i could but i could lose my job"Meredith replied

"Is he going to be okay"i asked her

"He is in the best hands Avery we will look after him so don't worry now go and sit down and relax"Meredith said 

Damon nodded to her as she left to go and take care of my dad, i turned around as Damon did the same as we made our way to the waiting room and there we saw the Mystic Fall Gang, The Originals and their friends they all looked at us Stefan stood up and walked over to us as he hugged the both of us together

"Thank god your both are alright"Stefan said 

We hugged for a couple of minute then we pulled away i don't know why but i needed to pee like really badly

"I will be back in a minute i need to pee"I said to Damon as he nodded and kissed me on the cheek 

I walked to the toilets which weren't that far from the waiting room when i entered the toilet i didn't hear it shut behind me i turned around and saw Elijah standing there with his tux Jacket off he didn't say anything as he fixed his Tux Jacket so it was opened he looked at me and then at his jacket i knew that he wanted me to wear it so i did i walked over to him and turned around as he slid the sleeves through my both of my arms i turned around and faced him as i fixed his tux jacket 

"Hey look at me"Elijah said as i looked at him 

"I am sorry Elijah"I said to him 

"Forget about that i would've done the same thing if it was my family that was kidnapped so i get why you did it so will you please wear my engagement ring please"Elijah asked me as he pulled out the ring he gave to me out from his pockets

"Yes i will Elijah"I replied to him 

He smiled as he slid the ring on my ring finger

"Do you actually have to go to the toilet or were you just saying that"Elijah asked me

"I was saying it because i didn't want anyone to see me cry he is my father Elijah i can't lose him he is the only family i have left and i need him"I said as i burst out crying

Elijah pulled me closer to him as he wrapped his arms around me 

"Sh let it all out my love let it out and if you need to sleep i will carry you back to that waiting room in my arms and i will wait with you"Elijah said 

I nodded to him i pulled away from him and turned to the sinks and began wiping my face with the paper towels that were there once i was done Elijah held out his hand for me to take which i did as we both walked out and walked back to the waiting room and when we did everyone was still sitting down Elijah walked to where he was sitting and that was beside Rebekah and Klaus they both looked at me and gave me a small smile which i returned
