Chapter 12.5~ Friends

'So that's his name.' I thought to myself. He nodded and looked at me.

"Great, I'm stuck with you now." He said as he sighed.

"Thanks." I mumbled under my breath. He started to walk away.

"Are you coming?" he asked. I nodded and trailed behind him as he walked up the stairs. "I can't believe I have to babysit you."

"Well too bad because you're stuck with me now." As soon as we got to the top of the stairs I heard loud footsteps approach.

"Vanderwood!" I heard someone shout. The brown haired male groaned as he looked over to where the noise had come from.

"Great, now I have to deal with two idiots."

"Sup?" I looked up at the boy. He had scarlet red hair and glasses.

"What do you want?" Vanderwood asked as he rubbed his temples.

"Just saying hi." The red head said. "Who's this?"

"The boss wanted me to baby sit her."

"I think it's the other way around." I said with a smirk.

"Tch, don't start with me."

"Do you think I want to deal with you?" I asked, "You're just pissed off at me because I kicked your ass."

"You little-" Vanderwood raised his arm ready to punch me.

"Whoa! Is this her?"

"Her?" I asked.

"Ya, a bunch of people were talking about a potential hacker joining soon. They said that they was really strong. None of us knew that you were a girl though!"

"Why does that m—"

"I mean, no dude has ever beat Vanderwood in hand to hand combat. Wait till everyone finds out it was a girl who kicked his ass!"

"I went easy on you." Vanderwood said.

"Ya, you went easy on me." I said as I crossed my arms, "That's why I was able to beat you and manage to tie you up?"

"I..." He didn't finish his sentence.

"Ha! She got you there!" He said as he raised his hand up. "Don't leave me hanging." he said. I raised my hand and hit his hand with mine.
"You're pretty cool!" The red head said, is eyebrow raised a little and a smug look painted on his face.

"If you think she's so cool why don't you show her around instead of me?" Vanderwood asked the red-head.

"I don't see why not?" He said.

"Thank god." Vanderwood said as he sighed in relief. 

"Follow me!" The red head said as he started to walk away. I followed behind him leaving Vanderwood alone. "So you really are the person who took down five agents?"
