Hi guys,

There is something super awesome, and cool going on, and do you want to hear what it is?

The characters from my books have come alive, and our now tracking down everyone who has read them looking to erase all knowledge of their existence... Hades' is especially pissed about how I portrayed him, so save yourselves while you have the chance!

OK, now I have caught your attention... and hopefully you're still reading this, I do have some big news.

However, before I delve into the details and tell you all about it, I would just like thank you all for reading my story. Writing has got me through some tough times in my life, and I am extremely grateful that you haven't gone screaming and running away from my attempts, and stuck with me! It means a lot to me, so I am sending you all a virtual hug and wishing you have a fantastical day!

Enough of putting it off, tell us the damn news, I hear you cry. Well your cries have been answered. I can now tell you why all the updates have been out of whack (which I have been wanting to for ages!!).

HADES' DAUGHTER (a rewritten and much better version) IS GETTING PUBLISHED!

I know, I can't believe it either. How insane is that? After repeatedly pinching myself to see whether it is true, and bruising my arm in the process, I have finally come to the conclusion that it's not another figment of my imagination. This is a dream come true, I remember when I was really young and wrote these really simple stories, one day hoping to write an actual book, and it's finally happening!

It is literally all happening as a result of your amazing support; you all mean the world to me, and I can't thank you enough! I wish that I could give you something better than a virtual hug, like puppies or a massive celebratory cake, but unfortunately I can't. :( I, however, can give you something much better which will have puppies looking like coal compared to a diamond...

I will be giving away never before seen content! Including ultra shorts, and a prequel! So much better than puppies, as it now means you don't have to sit there tapping your fingers, feeling like you have nothing to read as you wait for updates from me.

Anyway, before I go off another track again, the important detail: when can you buy the book?

It is going to be published on August 16! Write it in your diaries and circle it in red a thousand times so you don't forget.

I am not leaving Wattpad! However, my publishers have asked me to take down the last chapters of Hades' Daughter for pesky copyright reasons.

And even before all of that, there are more awesome things happening. Strap yourself down and hold on tight, and get people ready to revive you after you've fainted from excitement/shock.

My publishers are making a very fancy, professional looking website and are holding a cover contest.

Yes, that's right. A cover contest!  You can submit a cover, to become the official cover of the published book. You will even have your name in, and on the back of the physical cover of the book! Your name will be known all around the world, and will become famous by following these guidelines:

Send the completed cover to my agent at ftwagent@gmail.com by August 1.

There are requirements:

1. Know that if we choose your cover you will get credit ON the physical cover and inside the book. This could help you a lot as a graphic artist and bring your future work from my publishers and others, or it could be a fun claim to fame.

2. You will have to fill out a form which will let us have and use the cover.

3. You can not use any copyrighted images. You are only able to use Royalty Free Images.

4. We need a high resolution format of the cover in both JPG and Photoshop format (so that we use it for the paperback version of the book).

5. Cover Image size should be 5.5 by 8.5 inches in 300 pixels per inch resolution.

6. Hints to help you...

- The cover has to look good when Amazon Thumbnail size. The idea is that people WANT to click on it when they see the thumbnail.

- The text needs to be readable.

-  You should use only 1 font. 

- The cover needs the title AND the authors name.

7. The cover needs the title (Hades' Daughter) and my name (Charlotte Carol) to be visible.

8. If your covers wins we will do everything we can to use it. If it wins we will WANT to use it because that will give us the most future sales. BUT... You do need to know that there can be odd reasons why we might not be able to. For example we might not be able to use the Photoshop file for some reason or we might find a copyrighted image in the cover design.

9. Submit your created cover on or before August 1st.

This is NOT mandatory. This is simply something to get you guys involved in the launch because you guys have helped me a lot to get here.

I will be giving you updates as it all happens of course. Now, most of the time when people give updates on how a project is going (like getting a book published) they are really boring. BUT I WILL DO BETTER! You can be guaranteed to be LOL'ing on every update (hopefully). :D This is a fun and new experience for me and you will be  going along some of the ride with me.
