Capter 11~ Confronting Secrets

I better go find him. I thought as I stood up. I walked over to the door and opened it.

Once I opened the door I saw Saeyoung. He was resting his elbows on the fence that was in the yard, head in the palms of his hands.

"Saeyoung?" I asked as I walked over. He didn't respond. "Are you okay?"

"Am I okay?!" he shouted, " I should be asking you that!"

"..." I didn't reply.

"Sorry." he said.

"Me too."

"For what?!"

"Shouting at you." I said as I sighed.

"I don't understand." He said as he looked up at the stars.

"Understand what?"

"How you can still be around after what I did." He said, "I told you! I'm dangerous to be around."

"No you're not." I said.

"But-"

"But nothing." I said, "You were getting angry because you were worried about me, right?" I asked. His eyes widened. "I know you would never do something like that for no reason."

"You know me better than I know myself." He sighed ad combed his hand through his hair.

"I'm right, aren't I?" I asked.

"Ya, I guess so." He sighed, "I'm really sorry how I acted. It was inappropriate and I shouldn't have-"

"I already said it's fine." I said.

"You're too nice and naïve to last long on your own." He sighed.

"excuse me." I said, "I was basically all by myself for most of my life."

"What?" he asked.

"I was 16 when I met you, right?" I asked.

"Ya, i think."

"So that means...." I started to mentally count the years in my head. "I lived by myself for three years then."

"I thought you lived with your dad." He said.

"I did, until I was 13. My mom left me on my ninth birthday. She was the reason I know how to hack." I stared up at the stars. "That's why I hate my birthday so much." It felt so good to finally talk about this. I sighed,

"(Y/n)... I-I'm so sorry."

"No need to be." I said with a smile. "If it weren't for her I would never had meet you or anyone in the RFA."

"I can't understand how your always so positive."

"My mom said to me that, life's too short to be sad so make sure to smile, so that you make others smile." I smiled as I looked up at the stars. "That's why I'm always smiling."
