As I wandered away from the factory I noticed what looked to be a small city.

'I guess this is where I'll be staying.' I thought as I made my way over to the city.

I sighed as I walked the empty streets of my new found home. I looked around scoping out potential placed.

After looking around and wandering I found a suitable place. I looked over to the building and pulled out my phone. I quickly hacked into the system and turned off the CCTVs. I waked into the lobby. I looked behind the desk. The man was asleep.

'He's getting paid to sleep. That's stupid.' I thought as I walked over to the elevator and pressed the button to go up. The door opened with a ding noise. I walked into the elevator and pressed the highest floor number. The doors shut and started to move. I pulled out my phone and opened the messenger to the my boss.

'It's finished.' I typed and sent it. I then went into his contact and blocked his number from my phone.

The door to the elevator opened letting me out into the hallway. I stepped out of the elevator and made my way down the corridor. As I walked down the hall a door suddenly swung open smacking me square in the face.

"Oww!" I yelped as I stumbled backwards. I reached up to feel my nose. I looked at my hand, there wasn't any blood and nothing felt broken.

"Oh my god." I heard a woman say. "I'm so sorry."

"No, it's fine." I said.

"Are you okay?" She asked. I looked at the woman who was about my height. She had long blond hair and piercing green eyes. She was dressed in a light yellow dress.

"Ya, I'm okay."

"Are you sure?" She asked, "Do you need an ice pack?"

"No, I'm fine, thank you." I said, as I looked into her eyes. There was something strange about her. Her eyes looked lifeless and yet they glistened with light. It was strange to say the least.
"Sorry, I must get going."

"Oh, of course." She said as I continued to walk down the hall. "Sorry again!" I heard her shout as I turned the corner. Once I did I sighed a deep sigh. I walked to the door that lead to the roof. I opened the door and walked up the steps.

I soon cane face to face with another door.

I opened it and was hit with a strong, bone-chilling wind. I sighed and walked over to the opposite side of the door. I took my backpack off of my back and started to unpack.

"This sucks..." I mumbled to myself.
I lied down under my blankets and stared up at the stars. My mind started to wander off to the events throughout the day. For some reason my mind went back to a question one of the men asked me. 'How old are you even?' I sighed. I had lost track of time a while ago. What day it was didn't matter, all that mattered was the time. Time was everything. All I knew was at least two years went by so I had to be around 16ish.

'How did it come to this? A kid my age should be in high school hanging around other kids, and yet, for some reason I was doomed with this life. A life where any day could be my last. Where I have to fear my life. Whatever.' I shut my eyes.

"Once I get better at hacking I promise we'll leave together and go find your brother. After we find him we'll go travel the world and find a place where you would see the sky and nothing but the sky, without a care in the world. Where we didn't have to work, or worry about what's going on in the world, or what war is going on. Somewhere we could forget our past. Doesn't that sound nice?"

"Ya, that would be."

My eyes shot opened. I started looking on the rooftop trying to figure out where the sound was coming from. 'Great! I'm going insane again!' I thought as I lied back down. 'Why do I keep hearing voices, and why the same ones?'
