Chapter 9.5~ Mission

"Why?"

"Isn't it better if you stay together?"

"If you are doubting me I can take those papers back." I said as I turned around and reached my hand out to take the papers back.

"We werent, we were just curious." I sighed.

"If you stay together it will be much more risky. If you all go different routes then the chance of you getting caught decreases." I explained, "Plus, if one of you get caught that means there are still two of you who can complete the mission.

"There are only three paths."

"Ya, what will you be doing?"

"Last night I hacked into the security system. When we get there and you all start on your paths I will turn the whole security system off. That means there will be no power, period. You will all have to sneak around in the dark." I said, "Im being payed to escort you idiots not to babysit, so I f you have more questions then go back to that bar and stay there. You either do as I say or don't, it doesn't affect me."

'I hate my job.'

After about an hour of driving we finally made it to the factory. It was now very dark but there were still lights coming from the factory. We got out of the car and walked to the back of the factory.

"Well." I said as I opened my computer. I typed in a few things into the security system and pressed enter. All of a sudden the whole factory's lights turned off. "Off you go." I watched as they all scurried off to their assigned places.

'The backup generator should be around here somewhere.' I thought as I walked around the perimeter of the building.

I eventually stumbled across a large box. I pulled out my phone and shined the light on the box. I took out my multi-tool and started picking the lock. I heard a pop and opened the door to the backup generator. I started taking parts of it out of it and shut the generator back up.

I sighed as I watched the time go by.

'Why are they taking so long?' I asked myself. 'They should be out by now.' Right as I thought that I saw them approach me.

"Took you long enough." I said as I sighed. The three men carried bags full of the presumed chips and made their way over. "Good job, you didn't screw up like I thought you would."

"What's that supposed to mean?" He asked. I shrugged.

"My job is done, go run back to your boss." I said as I started to walk away.

"Do you need a ride back?"

"Shut it!"

"Oww, what was that for?"

"Ya, no. Thanks but my job is done."

"How do you expect to get back there then?" One of them asked. I shrugged.

"I dont know, but I'll figure it out." I continued making my way away from them.
