"I didn't think you would put up that much of a fight." he said. I glared at him. "I'm sure your dad will be coming back with someone else real soon." He chuckled. I glared at him. "Aww, don't look at me like that doll. You know, your dad and I have been friends for a while. I know everything about you. How your mother ran away leaving her prized daughter alone with her daddy." he said. I felt my blood boil in my veins. He had no right to talk about my mom like that. "Heh, she was a good one, your mom, real good at-" He stopped talking. Instead his voice was overpowered with the sound of someone choking. I looked down to see that the knife was now stuck in his throat. My eyes widened as I realized what I had done. He reached up and grabbed my wrist. I pulled the knife out and jumped to my feet. I watched as he twitched as the blood poured out of his neck. I felt myself start to violently twitch. My I dropped the knife and backed away from the dying man.
'Why?' I asked myself. 'Why don't I feel anything? I didn't feel bad about what I had just done, not a single bit. This man had family, probably children, and I had just taken him away from them and yet... I didn't feel bad at all.' I didn't have too much time to think before I heard more footsteps walk up to the door. I grabbed the multi-tool off the floor and walked to the door.
I stood on top of the table that was next to the door. Right as the door opened I stabbed the first person who waked though the door. The man dropped to the floor. I looked at the now dead body. It wasn't him. I looked to the doorway. His eyes widened as he looked at me. He turned around and started to run away. I jumped down from the tabled and ran out of the door. I looked out to see him running away. I leaped down the steps that lead to the entrance of the house I lived in. I watched as he ran. My instincts kicked in and I chased after him.
Because of the head start he got it was taking me a while to catch up, but he wasn't that fast. I was gaining up on him as he ran. He turned around to look at me. His eyes widened but he kept running. I was soon close enough to him to tackle him on the ground. I pinned him down and stared at him.
"Now honey, let's talk about this." he said.
"Talk?" I asked, "TALK?!" I shouted in his face. "15 years I had to put up with your crap! 15! And you want to TALK?!"
"N-now, put the knife down."
"NO! YOU CAN'T TELL ME WHAT TO DO ANYMORE!" I shouted. "Using me to gain money?!" I asked. "GET A JOB YOU SICK FREAK!"
"Freak?" He asked. "Why don't you look in a mirror? You killed two men and are about to kill your own father" He was right. I was a monster. I stood up and started to walk away. "Heh, you are just like your mother. You have no guts." He chuckled. "And so I thought, why not have you earn money like your mother? You know what they say, like mother like-" I tackled him to the round and pushed the blade into his neck. It was over, I was free. I smiled to myself. I slowly pulled the blade up and drove it back into his neck over and over. The blood spurted out and all over me. I smiled sadistically. I felt no guilt, only happiness. I was free. I looked up to see a few people staring at me, phones in hand. I looked around me. We were no longer in the woods but at the side of the road. Across the road was the gas station. I snapped out of the faze I was in and bolted away from the scene I had made.
Part of me knew what I had done and part of me felt bad. The other half told myself it wasnt me who did it and I shouldn't feel bad about it. He deserved it. He was dead. There was nothing that I could do anymore. All I knew for sure was... I was free.
