“Me and Zack? Like you haven’t?”
“Nope”
“What about when I saved you from getting tortured”
“That’s because I saved your butt”
He was right. He wasn’t in trouble. I was.
“Ready?” Zack asked from behind me.
“Uh yeah” I headed towards the door.
I sat in the chair. One that looked so much like the one I was tortured in. but I was okay. Zack held my left hand. And Jack was sitting in the corner. I felt protected.
“Hello Samantha Vines” The doctor greeted. No. I didn’t give my real name. apparently Jack had been working some new records on all of us.
Zack is now Zackary Black. And Jack is now Jackson Hayden. I will have to remember that.
“Hi” I muttered. I hate doctors now. But this guy is probably super nice. And yet that doesn’t matter.
“What is the problem?” He asked.
“I was. Uh. Really sick yesterday. And I’m worried about my baby”
“How far along are you?”
“She’s two months” Zack answered. I sighed. Relieved I didn’t answer.
“Lets take a look” He grabbed the cold gel.
Gosh. It was freezing. I gasped then tried to relax.
“Hmm….” He mumbled.
I stared at the screen in panic.
“She seems fine” He told us.
“Wait. Did you say she?” I asked.
“Yeah. I’m sorry. Did you not want to know?” He looked worried.
“Its fine. But another doctor said it was too early to tell”
“Hmm. Well I can tell it’s a girl. Maybe the doctor just couldn’t see what it was yet. When was the appointment?”
“A few days ago”
“Oh okay. Hmm. I don’t know why”
Then he left. I got up and looked at Zack. He looked at me worried. My guess is by my reaction.
