Chapter 4~ Why?

"What... What happened?" Luciel asked. "Why are you...! Why are you hear?! You're Saeran... Right?"

"Don't call me that. You don't deserve to say that name."

"Where did you go?" I asked as tears started to well in my eyes. "Why did you leave?"

"What is it talking about?" Saeran asked. Tears were now flowing down my cheeks.

"You're the one who copied my algorithm....? God... When did you learn to hack!? Who taught you?"

"I did." I said as I held up the phone.

"(Y/n)?" Saeran asked.

"Where did you go?! Why?! Why did you leave? I thought we made a promise!" I asked, desperate for an answer.

"Why are you doing this!? Rika told me that you..."

"You... Don't you dare say that name." Saeran said as he cut Luciel off.

"I don't understand." Luciel said.

"Why did you leave without ,in some form, telling me?" I asked as I slumped to the floor.

"Why did I leave!? YOU LEFT ME! AND NOW YOU'RE WITH HIM! YOU TWO BELONG TOGETHER! YOU BOTH BETRAYED ME!" Saeran shouted.

"Did something bad happen? That's why you're here?" Luciel asked. "But Rika would never have lied to me...!"

"You're the one lying. BOTH OF YOU! I can tell, don't pretend."

"I'm not lying!" Luciel shouted.

"You're not? That promise about protecting me, about being together, all lies.... Even your last promise when you told me that we will be happy after escaping that hellish place was a lie. I remember all of them.... AND YOU!" I started sobbing uncontrollably. "You broke your promises too." 

"I DIDN'T MEAN TO!" I shouted.

"Lies, LIES, LIES! You made the same promise that he made and I was stupid enough to believe it."

"YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND..." I shouted as I took my face out of my palms. "I COULDN'T GO ANYM-"

"STOP LYING!"' He shouted. "I know that both of you changes your names to get rid of me. Don't tell me you don't remember."

"That... I had to choice! It's all too much to explain now..."

"SHUT UP! What do you mean you had no choice...? Haha... Eat those pathetic lies of yours... Both of you."

"I WOULDN'T LIE TO YOU!" I shouted.

"Covering lies with more lies... I knew you were lowly. My savior was right."

"Saeran, I don't know what people told you... But I thought you were doing well. I asked Rika to see a photo of you laughing. I knew I couldn't meet you but I always prayed for you to be happy..."

"Shut up! I don't want to hear it. Stop lying!"

"Please, put the files down and then let's talk. Please? Let's take care of this together..." Luciel asked.

"No!"

"PLEASE LISTEN TO HIM!" I shouted in desperation.

"Strangers located." a robotic voice said.

"What is that saying?"

"The special security system... I restarted it and it's only starting to work now..."

"Sensed location of stranger... Adjusting target..."

"It's sensing you as a stranger, Saeran, you too (Y/n)."

"What?" Saeran asked.

"The whole place will explode if we stay like this. Get out of here! BOTH OF YOU!"

"Backing up all information... After the backup is complete, the bomb will be activated. 20 seconds left..."

"We'll all die if we don't get out!!!"

"Shit...!" Saeran said.

"Get out of here! NOW!"

"10 seconds left... 9 seconds..." My reflexes kicked in. I ignored the tears and jolted up.

"Saeran... Why did we have to meet like this...?" I asked before I stood up.

"Shit..."

"6 seconds... 5 seconds..."

"GET OUT! YOU'LL DIE LIKE THIS!"

"Shit... Shit...! I won't forgive you next time... I'll get payback for everything, ON BOTH OF YOU!"

"Sensing strangers' movement... Readjusting target... Readjusting... Readjusting..." I grabbed my laptop and ran out of the rom.

"Strangers missing... Stop attack." I kept running, I came to the end of the hall and made a right then a left. I ran up the stairs.

Why? What happened to him? Why did he look like that? Why did he leave? Where did he go? My brain was swarming with questions but no answers.

Soon enough I came to a door. I pushed it open and ran out. The cool crisp night breeze hit my face. I looked up at the stars. Tears ran down my face. All the questions I had been wondering disappeared, all except for one...
