Chapter 3.5~ The Park

"What about you?" he asked.

"Hmm? Oh, it's okay, I didn't want any." I said. He looked at me in shock and surprise.

"Have some of mi-"

"Nope!" I said refusing his offer. "Today is your day, you should get it."

"But-"

"It's okay, I have it all the time." I lied. He looked like he was thinking about something. "Eat your ice cream before it melts." He nodded and started to eat it. Once he tried it his face lit up. "How is it?" I asked.

"It's really good." He said with a slight smile.

"I'm glad." I said smiling.

I watched as Saeran finished up the ice cream.

"thanks (Y/n)." He said. I smiled,

"No problem." I smiled. "you have a little something there." I said as I pointed to his cheek. He looked at me and attempted to whip it off with his sleeve.
He looked at me as if to ask if it were gone. I shook my head.
"A little more to your left." I said. He tried again, "Other left." He missed again. I sighed and took the napkin that wrapped the ice cream cone.
"Here." I sighed as I whipped it away. His face turned slightly red but I ignored it.

"So... should we go back n—"

"I'd like to show you something." he interrupted.

"Course." I said he stood up and reached out to me. I placed my hand into his. He pulled me up and stated to walk away.

I trailed behind the boy as he walked. My eyes trailed down my arm to where our hands connected us together. My face turned a slight pink hue looking at my hand wrapped in his.

'Why do I feel this way?' I asked myself as my heart started to race. I started to feel nervous and self-conscious. I stared at the back of the boy's head as he dragged me along a path that was surrounded by woods and nothing but woods.

Soon we came to a clearing. Saeran looked back at me.

"Here we are." He said without letting go of my hand. I looked around. We were in a grassy area with one singular tree. I looked over to Saeran who was staring up at the sky.
"This is my favorite place because you can see the clouds really well from here." He said. He looked over at me.
"Come on." he said as he ran over to the tree. I chased after him and watched as he climbed up. I looked up at Saeran who was now located on a branch of the fairly large tree. He reached down, "I'll help you up." he said. I took his hand as he pulled me up to the branch he was sitting on. He scooted over so that the two of us could fit comfortably on the branch. Saeran and I sat on the branch in silence. I decided to break the ice.

"How was your birthday?" I asked.

"I had fun today." he said.

"I'm glad." I said as I looked over to him. "What'd you wish for?" I asked.

"I can't tell you or it won't come true, at least, that's what Saeyoung said."

"Who's that?" I asked. Saeran seemed to freeze as that name escaped my lips. "You always seem to mention him." I looked over to the boy, he seemed sadder when I asked.  "Sorry, you don't have to answer, I was just curious."

"He was my brother." he responded.

"Brother?" I asked. Saeran nodded. "What happened to him?" I asked..

"He left." he said.

"Oh... I'm sorry to hear that." I said.

"(Y/n)?"

"Ya?"

"Promise me you'll never leave me." He said as he looked at me. "Promise?"

"I promise."

~Flash Back End~

As I approached the house I got an uneasy feeling. I don't know why but something told me not to go in there. I ignored it and walked up to the door. I opened it and walked in. Right as I did I realized I had made a big mistake.

Crap.

"You little sh**" I heard as I felt something smack me over the head. My vision started to blur. This was it, I was going to die, knowing I was about to break two promises.
